Ref had a shocker. kravevs second yellow should never have been a yellow. Penningtons red card was fairly but burgess should of been sent as well. First penalty was clearly wrong hand ball *clearly hits players back* second penalty was understandable but imo harsh. Good to see Sydney can't win 12 v 9

Tbf the second one wasn't a red even as a sydney fan. Yes Sydney couldn't with 2 extra men but both were fairly late in the game. But at the end of the day their performance was a shocker.

Kraev’s was a foul but never a yellow Pennington red is correct but there’s no difference between what he did and what Burgess did (so both should’ve been sent off) First pen is clearly off his back. If Jacewicz can watch that an unlimited number of times and still thinks it hits his arm she’s clearly stupid Last pen is right but never would’ve happened if not for the first All in all a terrible performance from 2 awful referees, who both have form for this (MCY-CCM in both 2021 and 2022)

I think that is definitely true. The APL is run by Sydney people. The head of the APL was head of Sydney FC before becoming the APL boss. The national team is another very questionable area.

I think you'll find it's not so much a bias against the Nix but rather a bias in favour of Sydney FC. They ALWAYS get the 50-50 decisions in their favour, the dodgy penalty calls, when they are behind a t the end of the game the extra 5 minutes of added time over and above what other teams get.

As someone who knows Kate she is a very honest and good official and Sean is as well but tonight they got it horribly wrong. Both red cards were not red cards and the first penalty given was not a penalty, which if VAR had of overturned the second one wouldn't have eventuated. Props to Wellington to show that amount of fortitude down to 9 players against a team like Sydney that's some big cahones. They deserved that win.

@@dxfifa biggest issue is that they are struggling for elite referees. No-one wants to do it. I injured myself a few years ago so unfortunately I haven't been able to get my level of fitness where it needs to be to qualify. But I know alot of a-league referees and most are actually great officials. They make mistakes and believe me when I say they are assessed every game and they will be told and shown the errors they've made.

I don't mind the Nix getting bullshit calls against them. I expect it. But what I do mind is bias. If you want to be a referee, just be a consistent one. Either be good or fair to BOTH teams or be crap to BOTH teams. The Nix gave had more than their share of rough calls bordering the accusations of cheating by the referee's. By being consistent to BOTH teams will those accusations cease.

Shaun Evans has proven yet again he still holds the mantle as the worst ref in the league. It is now time referees should have to do press conferences like players and coaches to justify their decisions. The Pennington red should be a red for him and Burgess but I have seen those incidents both given yellow before. I am not even going to comment on the first pen because everyone on the planet except for two idiots know that was wrong.
