Really enjoyed seeing the lillyfield to dulwich hill extension again. A lot has changed since its construction. I fabricated all the handrail around the stations back in 2013.

Hi Phil, thanks for another excellent video. The new tram looks great. according to the map, Dulwich Grove looks to be quite close to the former Dulwich Hill terminus of the original tram system, which closed back in 1957. I can vaguely remember the old tram terminus, though I remember the Earlwood tram line a bit better, as we used to live closer to that off Illawarra Road. I can even remember being on a toastrack tram with my mum ans seeing a conductor being knocked off the tram footboard in Illawarra Road Marrickville by a close passing car. Fortunately, he was uninjured and found himself sitting on the car bonnet. He then got back on the tram and continued checking tickets. hopefully, One day, I hope to get back up there and ride this entire line. My last visit in early 2000, only allowed me to ride from Central to Wentworth Park. Interesting seeing the two lines cross near Capitol Square. from memory, crossing tram lines was even a fairly rare sight in Sydney back on the original tram system. Anyway, take care. any idea of the scheduling. love the new look, would have loved a double door at either end but probably not possible on this variant. i know parramatta has it, theirs will be 7 modules.

Dock double deck tram buses from the upper second deck like a ferry with two storey building like with Victorian two storey building’s fromthe steel awnings balconies with the bridge extending out from the buildings & tram. While cutting cost in architecture where developers refuse to spend any additional money in avoiding to build platforms or stations. As has been proven in Hong Kong & parts of Paris.

how long does it take to get to dulwich hill faster than a Bus? at least you have another option to get there now!

Service has been there for 26 years now EDIT: It's actually 7 years

From Central, it's about 40 minutes by bus or tram, about 15 minutes by train.

@@tonyhworks And that, but then you can't get around Dulwich Hill with a train

I just hope that this eliminated some buses otherwise what was the point. Question do these trams ride on rails of 4'8inches or 5' 3inches. Just wondering.
