I think both Sydney and Femke both show more respect to one another than this video maker. Both are great performers and yet humble ladies. Femke should be given some more respect than posting the picture of her fall, respect her for the work she puts in and giving Sydney some competition. Without the competition it wouldn’t be any fun. So please don’t write off the rest of the field like they don’t matter.

In my opinion, there is no need to be critical of any of these athletes because they are out there competing and all that we are doing is judging from a distance. @@FourSeasons04 Nope, won't happen. People will make honest assements. It is completely irrelevant which "train mrs McLaughlin has left". We do not live in a world where one favorite is deified and "given" the medal beforehand. There is a race to be run (!) Furthermore the difference between Bol and McLaughlin is only 51.45 - 50.65 = 0.8 seconds, or 6.5 meters. The problem is Femke Bol is a terrific runner, an incredibly fine young woman, and a great competitor. The type of person that is a credit to the sport. She just made one cardinal mistake. That of being born in the era of the GOAT, Sydney McLaughlin. The casual fan will remember Sydney, her records and her medals. THIS TICKS ALL THE BOXES OF STRUCTURAL ORGANISED PED USE General indications for doping use. 1.) strong evidence against the coach testimonies by previous pupils, etc. 2.) An Experienced Athlete is stuck at a certain level, but after joining a coach with a reputation for drugs the PB's suddenly drop spectacularly. 3.) Athlete competes very little. This way the athlete can be fed small dosages in a controlled surrounding (Microdosing) without getting caught 4.) Athlete "mysteriously" disappears from competition, especially during a "minor year" 5.) Athlete sudden re-emerges not to long before A big event, suddenly more muscular and "stronger than ever" 6.) The athlete suddenly delivered hitherto unheard of performances, that seemed "impossible" before 6.) Athlete develops injuries, even though he or she competes very little. This is a clear indication that the muscles of the athlete have been artificially enhanced to a level that is greater then what the bonesstructure, cartilege and tendons of the athlete can handle. Now lets look at the case of mrs McLaughlin and mr Kersee 1.) Her coach Bob Kersee is well known as a doping coach, there are even official testimonies against him, 2.) Before joining mr Kersee mrs McLaughlins carreers more or less topped out. Her PB was 52.23, 3.) After joining Kersee in 2020, 6 years into her carreer, her PB suddenly dropped to 51.46 in 2021 and 50.68 in 2022 4.) Since 2020 McLaughlin has never been competing more then 6 to 7 (and often less) times a year, 5.) In 2023 (pre-Olympic year) and early 2024 McLaughlin stopped competing 5.) McLaughlin developed a "minor knee injury" in 2023, even while only having run 5 races on the 400m and 1 on the 60 meter 6.) McLaughlin reappears after 1.5 year, clearly much more muscular, and faster then ever before 7.) McLaughlin deliveres a UNBELIEVABLE performance, after only 3 serious races THIS WHOLE THING BEGGARS BELIEF. One thing that I have learned, is that if something is "To good to believe". It usually IS TO GOOD TO BELIEVE.

I don't agree with your assessment. SML will in all likelihood take the Gold but I'm excited to see her be pushed for the first time. She may win, but she will not obliterate Femke. In my opinion, there is no need to be critical of any of these athletes because they are out there competing and all that we are doing is judging from a distance. Who was it that said, "Thinking is difficult. That's why most people judge." I think it was Carl Jung. For most of us, competing is difficult. That is why most of us judge...just sayin'. Go Team USA.

@@jsmariani4180 It is a WORLD RECORD nevertheless. And it is also the best performance on the 400 m flat in terms of World Athletics (IAF) result scores since 2000, whith 1272 points (equivalent to 48.36 outdoor)

Indoor season doesn't mean much. That's why indoor records are far less prestigious. The World Athletics scoring system doesn't change anything here.

@@johnlironix2184 The word "prestigious" is absolutely meaningless. What counts is the PERFORMANCE, as represented in the Result Score, and as you can see from the result score, Femke Bol's World Record is the BEST performance on the 400 flat since 2000 (ex equo with Shaunae Miller Uibo). The fact that other people where on the track at that moment is completely irrelevant.

Here we go again. 😃Such a term as "the best performance on the 400 m flat" doesn't exist in World Athletics terminology. Can't exist because the outdoor 400m and the indoor 400m are different events. To make it more interesting someone who created this (ridiculous) list just ignored Salwa Eid Naser's performance at the World Athletics Championships in Doha (48.11 (1281 Points)). Most likely on purpose.
