Why is the Metro station at Barangaroo going to be down near the headland, away from the commercial hub of Barangaroo, King Street Wharf, ferry wharf and the parts of the CBD adjoining Barangaroo? Surely it would have been better located further south closer to where people are going.

Anthony it’s because Sydney Metro Barangaroo Station is further underground then most other metro stations like Central. Barangaroo station is about let’s say 30-40 metres from Sydney Harbour. Because then after Barangaroo is where Metro dives under the water. Everything like King Street Wharf and Sydney CBD is on the opposite side of the station in Circular Quay. So that’s why Sydney Metro Barangaroo station is far from Sydney CBD and King Street Wharf. Hope that helped clarify :) and no you aren’t fat or lazy it’s just that Sydney CBD and King Street are on the opposite side of Barangaroo Sydney Metro station. Stay safe :)
