I can't get over the immensity of Barangaroo station now it's open. For several years while visiting Sydney I looked down on the site from the Langham Hotel in Kent St as trucks, machines and people disappeared into a hole in the ground, never imagining what was going on below.

They have done so well! It would have been a great vantage point for construction updates! Lol :) Cheers for watching and for your support :)

Thanks for the videos Phil. I really enjoy them. I travel on the North Shore train line and I've been getting off at Chatswood to travel the rest of the way into the city on the metro. I really love it and I save a lot of time not deviating through Woollstoncraft and Waverton.

No worries mate! Thank you for your support :) The new metro line is just what the City and North Sydney needed :)

The station are very pretty, modern, and huge (especially the underground stations). Also, some stations, Martin Place in particular, reminds me of some underground stations of the Elizabeth Line in London, UK ^_^

Hi Phil, great video. Barangaroo is one place that I am not familiar with at all. When I was living in Sydney prior to mid 1981, I can't remember the area even being mentioned. I am guessing it was an area just with warehouses back in the old days. It is amazing how it has progressed since then. If you count me watching all your videos, I sort of feel like I have ridden the new Metro extension. I seem to now know all the Metro stations on the new extension by heart. Maybe I am watching the videos a bit too much!!! LOL. One thing I would like to know is how do they manage to level the Metro train doors with the station doors perfectly every time?? Anyway, take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.

Hi Phil I’m a big fan of your channel. I always wanted to see you some day. I’m just such a big fan of how much you’ve achieved over the past 10 years. I’ve always wanted to become a train driver when I grow up. Do you think I can achieve my goal when I grow up?

Worth calling out that Barangaroo is the only new station not yet in its final state. It's missing its southern exit which will be via a new bank of escalators that are to be built from behind a knock-out wall on the concourse, emerging at street level in the yet-to-be-built Barangaroo Central commercial and residential development. This entrance will make the existing office towers and Crown resort much closer to the metro.

Have you noticed minimal advertising and that each station has differently sized advertising boards. The ones at crows nest are huge
