Plus your respect for all other water users means that whenever you surf a new wave, people are always super stoked to share their wave with you. You're such a statesman for Hawaii, a legend in the water, and such a funny puppy on land. This bodyboarder has been hooked on your vids for some time now. Enjoy the rest of your slab tour, I cannot wait to see what else you will share. Blessings to Mahina, your Mum and brothers ✨️🤙🙌

It was a buzz surfing it regularly in the 1970's. No bodyboards back then, but blokes surfed it on surf mats, especially Steve Downey and Dave Shaw. It's a shame you didn't catch it bigger. It would sting the back of your ears and neck when it spat. Brought back memories.

@Rockbottomsurf
@Rockbottomsurf Жыл бұрын
@@wodjism6699 actually the island was pioneered by Derek and Peter Hume bodysurfing after which people surfed it on “mats” and surfboards. As surfboards became shorter they took over and it wasn’t until a decade or so later that boogie boards appeared. Stand ups do tend to like different waves as Boogers have difficulty generating as much speed across as boards can.
