One thing people do not realise is that the failure of private ownership was due to the VFL refusing to allow clubs to charge their own prices for tickets. Under a fixed ticket price, owners of the Swans could not adjust to the fluctuating demand from a fickle Sydney audience, nor cover the cost of top players. Most leagues do not fix ticket prices.

Players I revered. Bob Skilton. (The best player in the history of the game, don’t agree with me? Tough shit.) Peter Bedford Max Papley ( Tom’s grandfather.) In the 80s No 1.
