8:50 That’s A380 fuel dump nozzle. This equipment is more common on wide body airplanes flying long distances. When airplanes encounter emergency situations and need to land midway during long haul flights, the excessive fuel sometime makes it too heavy for landing. In that case, pilot has to dump the fuel in order to reduce the weight below the maximum landing weight limit for the airplane. Btw, the main fuel tanks are inside the wings. I learn this from a retired pilot KZbinr.
