tbh i'm glad you still have some of these XPTs we haven't got anymore hopefullly some in preservation though and especially after this law put in place because of the Stonehaven Incident

If you are British, there are at least 51 HST trains running for First Great Western, X Country Trains, Scot Rail, Network Rail and about a dozen in preservation and all have been updated and no law has been bought in after the Stonehaven Accident. The XPT is an Australian version of the HST all by name and built under licence to British Rail Engineering in Australia and the carriages just have ribbed sides where as our HST has flat sided coaches.

Lots of XPTs, but on the face of it not a lot of passengers! Shame it did not come into Number 1 Platform on its 40th birthday. The days of more important the train, the lower the arrival/departure platform number are perhaps gone!
