G4 Derailed on an Empty service on the 24th of Janurary 2009. And G-sets were Rellocated to Sydney in 2010.

Hello Phil. Great Video here. 3 months ago at the 10th of September at Chatswood, I saw a Tangara and the set is T122. Which meant that the Tangara is a ex G set. It was recommended to G22. G22 and T122. They are the differences. Very nice video here, Phil. Keep up your good work. I like your vids as well.

Hello Phil, the original T - set had the door openers, they were set in the doors which people could pull on them to open the door. once the doors upgrades were done on the T-sets these openers were removed.

Thanks for this great description of different or converted Tangara's. My beefs with Tangara's are the fixed seats (I don't use anymore, anyway) and the time we got put on a Tangara behind a Driver's compartment where there were NO SEATS! (Strathfield's fault.) OK for my wife in her power chair but not for me with my walker. You are not permitted to ride on walkers in transit. I had to from Strathfield to Hornsby,. that day! More to this if interested.

G4 derailed at Unanderra? I thought the only G set to have an accident was G7 when it derailed between Waterfall and Helensburgh at high speed and got scrapped later.

Having ridden on Tangara's mainly on the western line between Penrith and Strathfield. I'm not sure I'd want to go on a Tangara anywhere on the intercity network. God the ride control laterally is fucking appalling. Half the time the gangway doors are stuck open so you have to listen to the shithouse vestibule and coupling noises that sound like they're going to fail at any minute due to each car having excessive lateral suspension play. Phill. Is there any info on why G7 was being trialled for AC traction and what roles that may of had in the Waterfall accident?

Anyone noticed the new signage on the country concourse notes that the platforms are now 4-27 instead of 4 to 25. Anyone guessing the metro platforms are 26 and 27

Im pretty sure that the front od the G Set is tucked in, because it would make it easier to uncouple the sets, because a person could fit in between. So thats why they dont do G Sets coupled to G Sets ,because it would be a waste of a set, sine the gap would be too large and theyd much rather have 2 medium sized gaps than 1 small and 1 big. I hope this all makes sense.

I always encounter these t sets on the Cumberland line.& get to ride them when they appear.its a lot more special when their on the T2 line.i have great memories of seeing them a lot.they only gotten yellow doors and refurbished seats in the last couple of years after cityrail.

I think G10 was converted into T110, and G33 was converted into T130. I doubt that there was a G30 in the old days, but correct me if I am wrong Thank you. Happy New Year!

I think G 30 was converted to T 100 because there was no G 0

@@kurvaceous Phil says G33 was converted to T110 but you what, logically if you connect the numbers together i think G33 was converted to T130, G32 was converted firstly into T132 then retargetted to T100, G11 into T107 replacing G7 and G10 into T110.

G10 Became T102. Because G2 was not builted. I think G32 and G33 were T132 and T133 in 2009. G32 Became T100 and G33 Became T110 In 2013.
