I backpacked in Australia back in 1993 and stayed in a hostel on that route you walked in this video. I don’t think it’s there now. There was an old Holden kingswood station wagon that all the backpackers would use..had no brakes and colum gear change would jump out of gear at random,.made for some interesting drives 😂
