If price keeps influencing you, judge on how excited you would be to receive it as a gift, rather than whether you would add it to your collection.

Would love a part 3! And YES…if I pull up any plant on You-Tube- EXCEPT HOYA’S You are ALL OVER. 😊😊😊 You are super humble to be so surprised. There’s not many other more popular plant You-Tubers. Come on, You are not sore on the eyes 😉 ok, Handsome! You are funny, honest, smart etc, etc. You have a way to make learning about plants super fun! And you know so much. I really appreciate all of the time you have spent learning about plants and are willing to share it with us. I also want the Red Crystallinum!! So MUCH. I also really like that Zara X Michelle. Those 2 are at the top of my Wish list. Along with a few Hoyas. I recently got a Mayoi and I was so excited. It is still young and only has a little shape. Can’t wait until it looks like the ones you showed! And of course the Pink Bambino or Amazonia. I bought a tiny Pink Bambino for a FREAKING $100. That is the most I have spent. It was stupid! It was a recent import and absolute TINY. I was not experienced taking care of them that small and just imported. I’m sure it was TC too. Anyway- it died. It had mostly white or pink leaves. Not really variegated. I actually loved the look. But worried about it being able to survive with no green. Anyway, if I could get one for $50 and it was actually a small plant-then I’m all in. I learned a good lesson. Would I be upset with the amount of money I spent on this plant if it died soon? If the answer is yes, I CAN’T get it!! Haha. 😆 Thanks again for another super fun video.

I too think there’s something about the Monstera Vietciosa that I think is special but I can’t put my finger on it. I saw it in person in Miami along with many other new monsteras. Except for a couple, they didn’t appeal to me, but this one did. Hope it drops in price sooner than later. 💚

Loved this! Also love how you gave price-friendly alternatives to the crazy prices. Would love to see like a 'dupes' video where you have a list of expensive plants and give your recommendation for similar plants that are still cost-effective. 'Cozzie livs' and all that!

46:59 I think you were looking for Thaumatophyllum Williamsii. The cactus you showed (lophophora) you probably already know - it is commonly known as peyote

That was a nice mix 😍. And yes, you came up in searches for El Choco and Verrucosum. Funny to see you so chuffed.💚

Dioscorea discolor - you are right. You need a plant with this pattern. The leaves tend to stay like they were before. I‘ve got mine from Ecuador many years ago with a beautiful camouflage pattern and all leaves are like that.

Damn, I don't think I could spend more than $50 on a plant. Maybe for a gorgeous mature plant that someone loved for a decade but they died or they're moving and can't bring it? I might be willing to pay more than $50 knowing that I'm paying for the years someone dedicated to it. But an anonymous starter plant cultured in a lab or a cutting that someone potted up last week - nah. The highest I've paid to date is $30, and most are in the $15 range. I ordered two baby Thais from Florida for almost $40 and it felt extravagant. I paid $20 privately for a stunning marble queen pothos from a local nursery owner; it completely fills out its 8" pot and trails 3' long above my hammock chair in my living room, and it feels more valuable than the MTCs. I immediately took cuttings (seriously, it was too long, my cat would have been able to eat its toxic leaves) and they're rooting in my aquarium for my mom's Christmas gift. And my $5 golden pothos that I got on clearance at Walmart? Love 'em. They look dramatic (okay they look wimpy next to the marble queen but come on, she's incredible) and they've grown like crazy, even during all my horrendous beginner mistakes over this past summer.

I love that the price is a factor. I was binging plant unboxings by various content creators yesterday and one creator (no shade, I love him, he's great!) was literally in tears when he got a philo pink princess and it cost over $1000. And now you can pick them up for £3 a couple of years later! Obviously people can spend their money on whatever they want, I hope they get a lot of joy from their plants over the years, but personally I would rather wait and watch the price come down to more reasonable amounts. Also, I love the Monstera Acacoyaguensis, but thats because I have a soft spot for monsteras lol. I've heard anthurium hybrids are gonna be a big thing in 2025... Much love to you, Brad, AJ and Timmy!

I have so many plants, thousands... I have no room for big plants anymore 😅 I like some new monstera varieties, but they require too much space... I'll probably just buy some new Hoyas, easy to control their growth, have beautiful flowers, leaves and a reasonable size.😎

Searching El Choco in Germany: your your video is the 25th result shown to me 😊👍
@LeafyConversations2 сағат бұрын
To answer the question “if you google a plant, do I come up?” Nope, PlantsByMelissa came up when I typed Philodendron El Choco in a summary part, but if I click on “more” you came up with her, and Wildfern. I think what happens is Google looks at your KZbin history since they are the same company and will display who you watch the most. Sorry Jan; however, I do watch every video just about you come out with in most cases. 😅

I’ve had a gorgeous White Fusion growing well in pon for almost a year 😍 All my calathea (goeppertia) love semi hydro.
@LeafyConversations3 сағат бұрын
One plant I won’t buy either is the Calathea no matter how tempting the white fusion is to me. I’ve heard to many horror stories on how hard it is to keep alive and they tend to be pest magnets.

The price of plants is a huge factor in wether or not I like it or not, so I think it´s important to factor it in! Not everyone can afford or is willing to spent hundreds of Dollars on plants that are hyped or trendy, and by judging plants on their looks only you would miss out on that factor. Event though most plants get cheap as soon as a trend is over or they become more available, most plants, at least for me, range in price sections I would never tap into.

I agree on Philodendron ROF, as well as I will add Princess of Orange and Sun Red they are not aesthetically pleasing unless looking down on them.

My mint adansonii is so big, an underrated plant, but I've got a spectacular version on a 2 meter moss pole. My calathea white fusion is so nice, it does well in leca with artificial light. I keep it next to my triostar theyre quite similar in needs.

I disagree about the blue oil fern... I get it, I also thought it's just a cool instagrammable plant, but only until I saw it in our local botanic garden. Just wow! 🤩 It was truely amazing in real life! 🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴 from me! Suggestion for the next video: dioscorea sansibarensis

💚 56:00, regarding your question about the Google search, no sir, it's not just because you're in Australia, it's because you have one of the best specimen's of Aroids , that has big social contribution, maybe there is a Granny in South-West Florida, that has better Ph.Verrucosum than you, that even grows outside all year long climbing a three, but no one knows about it... So yeah you're the best ;)

I _LOVE_ squamiferum. Recently bought one that wasn't juvenile by any means - it had several fruits! I bought it for 10€ on sale - it is about 150 cm tall! I would never want a variegated one, tho 😅 Too fond of how low maintenance and how willing it is to grow fast and steady! 🤩

Hi , nice channel you got there. Could you include the Dracena Goldieana ? Rarely saw videos of it and after 7 years idk how to get one in germany.
@TenSam31334 сағат бұрын
Can't you buy it in Germany? In Poland it's often in supermarkets! It's a bit harder to buy variegated forms, but it's also possible online.
