Thanks mate! I don’t know how long they will last as it seems both the Union and Government want the issue with the NIF solved so i thought it was a good idea to make Vlog 2000 about our V Sets :) Thanks heaps mate :)

One of the last vestiges of comfortable, inviting inter-city railway travel that's a little more than simply A-to-B transit. Long may their twilight last, even if their current livery and interior colour-scheme aren't worthy of their legacy! Reading the relevant volumes on Comeng's history, written by the V-Set designer, John Dunn, has only increased my appreciation of them. To think, when I first arrived in Sydney from the UK, I dismissed them regrettably as 'baked-bean tins'!

I've been spending the last few months riding these grand old ladies at least once a week mainly to rack up on some riding mileage but there's sentiment involved as the other reason is to enjoy riding on The V Sets while there's still time as it's as you said it's unknown as to when they will be withdrawn from service especially V21 which i spotted twice in the last few weeks. But Congratulation on your 2000th Vlog and here's to 2000 more Phil.

Riding in style! 😁 V21 is a good set! V27 has car DCT9031 on it which is our oldest V Set carriage in service, 45 years young :)

The V Set Movie. A good farewell preparation for the V Sets. Makes me wonder if the are finally in the process of putting in the D Sets in service. Nothing has been updated much about this industrial dispute or the union agreement with the government for at least two weeks.

Hey Phil did you ever get to see the original MK1 DDIUs before they were retired they were mixed into V sets much like the tullochs were with the S sets the MK1s were really different compared to the production cars
