Hi Phil. Greetings from QLD. Did you know that when you were filming the Airtrain between Eagle Junction & International Airport you were looking down at the car park where they shot the Granville crash scene for the mini series The Day of the Roses? I was there in '98 to see some of the filming and lived at Toombul at the time. Congrats on Movie 3. Very enjoyable.

+JMSRENFORCER98 M Sets are timetabled to run the Carlingford line on weekends. However some weekends you will see a K Set

JMSR_Enforcer_98_1993 M sets running on the Carlingford line are not totally uncommon. When I first rode that line, it used a Tangara, and then went to S sets. Now it mostly uses a K set.

DarkSpawn You’re not crazy. The Tangaras (T sets) indeed got new doors. It started with six T sets being trialled with these M set styled doors (T96 was the first one to get these doors), and when the trial succeeded, the rest of the fleet received these new doors. This change was mostly done in response to vandals kicking out the panels on the bottom of the original Tangara doors, which led to delays. The new M set styled Tangara doors are also more lightweight.
