[스타데일리뉴스=소가영 기자] 26일 서울 구로구 구로아트밸리 예술극장에서는 한국대중음악상 시상식이 개최됐다.
올해로 16회째를 맞은 한국대중음악 시상식은 록, 포크, 재즈, 일렉트로닉, 힙합 등 장르를 망라해 총 23개 부문 수상자를 선정했다.
전 세계에 케이팝 신드롬을 일으킨 아이돌 그룹 방탄소년단은 이날 시상식에서 종합 부문 3개 부문을 포함해 총 5개 부문 후보에 올랐던 방탄소년단은 지난해 5월 발표한 ‘페이크 러브’(FAKE LOVE)가 ‘올해의 노래’, ‘최우수 팝 노래’에 뽑혔고, ‘올해의 음악인’까지 총 3개 부문을 수상했다.

우리 가장 생각도 깊고 음악에 대한 열정이 높은 알엠과 슈가의 수상소감이 남다르다. 음악의 고하가 없는데 빠순이라고 그들의 음악과 팬들을 무시하는 사람들 많이 보았고 안타까움이 컸는데 이렇게 품격있는 수상소감으로 격상시켜주니 팬으로서 너무 고맙고 감사하다는 생각이 든다. 그리고 그런 아티스트와 음악을 선정해 시상해 준 한국대중 음악상 관계자들에게도 감사하다. 다른 어떤 시상식보다 격조있고 무게감있는 시상식이라는 생각이 든다. 앞으로 미국의 그래미시상식과같은 음악시상식이 되기를 희망해 봅니다.

The fact that the KMAs have been so underfunded and small due to its exclusivity and its refusal of tending to big companies and promotors yet bts the biggest boy group in the world took time out of their hectic schedules to grace the stage and accept an award that obviously means so much to them is why I love them so much .. they shocked the entire audience ! My humble boys really walked up in front of some of Korea’s biggest artists just after winning across town at another award show - yes, bless their hearts ! They must’ve had a long day !

They know what is important! People tend to underrate ‘Idol music’ saying it’s only for teen-ages(that’s why suga talked about other musicians’s reactions to his decision to be an idol). And most Korean music awards have been for Idol music only and evaluated by popularity more than musical value. But winning this award means that BTS is named the best musician of the year by musical specialists(the award committee). They’re honored to get KOREAN MUSIC awards and e-daily CULTURE awards which are even not fancy awards ceremonies. BTS is IDOL but also ARTIST (I’m a K-army so my english isn’t perfect. But I just wanted to express how proud Bts are🤩)

RM .슈가..Agust D. 윤기.. 지금 방탄이란 울타리에 아이돌이란 타이틀을 갖고있지만 그들 본질은 음악하는 사람이고 음악을 만드는 사람이고 음악을 사랑하는 사람입니다. 랩퍼. 춤추는 아이돌. 아티스트.. 정체성이 뭐냐고 구분짓고 폄훼하는 무리들은 어차피 눈막 귀막 그들의 음악은 알고싶지 않은거예요. 외면하고 싶은거죠. 멤버들 모두 특히 윤기의 그래미에서의 그 밝은 모습과는 좀 많이 다른 느낌의 소감과 모습이어서 좀 미묘한 감정이네요. 슈가의 음악에 고하가 없다는 말은 싸이퍼를 통해 들려준 말들을 가장 고상하고 품격있게 표현한 말일거예요.

한대음은 주로 여러 장르의 음악을 중심으로 시상하다보니, 아이돌 중심으로 참여하는 대중 시상식과는 차이가 있어요. 그러다보니 주로 대상 수상자들도 비 아이돌 가수들이 많았죠. 지금까지 저 시상식에서 대상을 타간 아이돌은 소시, 아이유, 소유, 빅뱅, 방탄 밖에 없었습니다. 그 중에서 방탄이 정말 대단한 건 아이돌임에도 2년 연속 대상을 수상 받았다는 점과, 무려 3개의 대상을 타갔다는 거죠^^

Couldn't have said it better myself! They grew up so well, I remember how I fell completely in love with their childish and whimsical attitude. But as they grew up their innocence remained, at the same time they became mature, thoughtful, deep and socially aware human beings.

People need a strength of character and a good support system to withstand the pressure of that kind of job. All of BTS members have that . A lot of their seniors and peers succumb to drugs and other things that put them in jail , .. BTS have a strong sense of self thats why they can do their own thing and more without easily getting influenced by what other people do. I think even if they didnt pursued this life in the spotlight they wouldve became successfull and respected in their fields all the same.

한국 대중음악상은 다른 시상식과는 좀 다릅니다. 방탄에게는 굉장히 의미가 깊은 상일거에요 한국 음악시상식 중 거의 유일하게 차트,인기를 배제하고 예술성, 음악성 위주로만 봐서 상을 주는 시상식인데 여기서 대상을 받았다는건 매니아들과 평론가들에게 음악적으로 인정받았다는 뜻입니다. mama나 골든디스크 같은 타 시상식과 달리 아이돌은 거의 보기 힘들고 (2004년부터 있던 시상식인데 대상 탄 아이돌은 지금까지 빅뱅,아이유 제외하고 없을정도..) 인디,언더 뮤지션들만 주로 상을 타가는 시상식인데 아이돌로서 이 상을 받았다는건 방탄에게 굉장히 의미가 깊을거라 생각되네요.
