How to Access Husqvarna Automower Hidden Service Menu - Fix Sensor and Guide Wire Issues Yourself!

Check out the video for instructions on how to access the hidden diagnostic/service menu on many Husqvarna Automower models. This one is the 450x. If you don't own one already, mine has been nothing but problems - I'd recommend shopping other brands personally.
To access the menu go to "Menu" and then hold the 7 and 9 keys simultaneously. Throw this video a like if it helped you!

There is another secret menu. Without pressing menu, just staying at the "home screen", press and hold digit 0. I think it overlaps a bit with other menus and the 7+9 but one thing I couldn't find anywhere else was to set the garden type (open/medium (?)/complex). I don't know exactly what it changes but one thing seems to be the amount of rotation when encountering boundary wire. With open it does nearly 180 degrees but with complex not so much, so not getting so "stuck" in thight places where it can start to more or less go just back and forth.

Hello my friend; I just found your video and well, I can say at last I see something differnet with that 7+9 secret key! My 450x as well, is at the repair center because it got stoked in "tilt sensor error" and I cant even enter main menu. After I saw this, I will tell them to give it back but, tell me, do you know if there is a way of entering this menu if it stoked in the message, even If I put it down for a while. Thanks again

Thanks. It help me out, a bit. I run recalibration and the test station and G1 (guide) has no signal. I clean contact wire it again and is not working. I’m afraid something more complicated than a cable contact :(. I will contact somebody here in the US who maybe take care of it

Hi, just came across your channel, very informative. I have an issue and wondering if you ever came across it. When my 450X goes back to the charging station, it stays in about 20secs and then comes out again and try’s again for the charging station but still won’t stay in to charge. The only difference between now and last September, when I took it off the lawn, was that I got it serviced! I’ve checked the contacts and they are fine. I get over the issue temporarily by switching off the machine and manually pushing it into the charging station. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

The firmware upgrade has caused huge problems. It's to prevent overheating issues. Mine worked baseline before the upgrade and exactly the same problem as you after. Ended up having to replace the battery to sort it. I would never get mine upgraded again. Dealers know it causes problems, don't tell customers and the upgrade cannot be rolled back

mine keeps saying it has completed mowing for today...i can t get it to mow no matter what i do ...including pressing the override for 24hrs or changing the schedule...it just keeps saying its done and going back charging base. Batt is fully charged. PLEASE HELP. just brought last summer in Canada. its a 310.

Try pushing down the tops, if not one of them is that. If you go into this service menu it will tell you which one is showing as activated

wow, that a really great Tip. Thx a lot. But my Automover 310 doesn't show anything on LCD Panel. Teh battery was changed 3 month ago and works fine. Power adapter, cable also charging station are ok. Do you have a tip for my issue pls? Thx a lot in advance

@@brianlutz8343 Hi Brian. Sorry for delay in answering. In my case the systemboard was damaged by cheep price 3rd Party battery. In the future I will never use cheep 3rd party batteries for sure. What you think to save.. you have to pay a lot more for replace the systemboard and resetup by Husq dealer. Hope this helps. Best Regards

Your guidewire is not connecting, probably on the places where you cut it you will find a poor contact.

i have a Husqvarna Automower 450xs that was installed yesterday by a Husquvarna dealer. Upon leaving, the installer told me to let it run so that it would learn the layout (Calibratioin?). After 5 hours of mowing, there was one area of the yard the mower would only move from the boundary wire on one side of the yard to the guide wire that runs down the center of that portion of the yard. The mower didn't cross the guide wire to mow the other half of the yard. Could this be caused by the boundary wire and guide wire were incorrectly connected to the charging station; with the boundary wire going where the guide wire should go and vice verse?

sounds like the put the guide wire in the boundary wire connection on you dock station....Example guide 1 is connected to the boundary connector

also to learn the 450x uses GPS to figure out where to mow and how much time to send mower to a spot...this takes about 5-10 days of mowing(FYI)

Hi .my husqvarna 430x is now unable to park on charger stations..she goes in ok stay for about 20 seconds and out again and repeat this error about 6 times until she gives up and stay in the middle of the lanw. Any solution to this dilema? Cheers

Did u get urs serviced and had the firmware upgraded by any chance. Upgrade is to prevent heating and charging issues but causes the mower to unlock and not charge. I had to get a new battery to sort it eventhough it ran flawlessly before the firmware, the upgrade cannot be rolled back once done. My dealer knew it caused problems, never told me, I'd imagine it happening wholesale. I will never get It done again

That's a older generation of mowers so lots differs, apparently among them "secret" menus. Sorry I don't know what's available to do at that one.

For older 200 series automowers:- To show the Tools menu: 1. Place the cursor on Settings and press YES. 2. Press the Home, 4 and 3 buttons simultaneously, i.e. at the same time but in the stated order.

Did you guys experience the message: Charging Station Blocked? it is clearly not blocked and it does not happen all the time. The issue is that the mower will be parked and not charging

It might be a loose magnet in the charging connector at the front of the mower. You have to pop the body off and fix it, info online.
