I'll tell you but forgive length. I was raised by WWII UDT (Underwater Demolition Teams), swimming before I could walk. New Scuba shop opens, I make friends with Kenny selling me all gear. Kenny finds out I teach school, tells owner. Owner hires me help him teach scuba. We take classes too San Juan Islands for open water check out dives. Class students all want to know what all wildlife under water. But I was there for scuba not oceanography. So kenny an I moved too ran Juan Island for my 3 month summer school. We took diving gear, 2- zodiac dive rubber rafts, air compressor, 2 motorcycles, hunting trailer too San Juan county Park. We filled turkey pot cooker full of Lin Cod, sea bass, abalone, scallops, etc. We needed someone to run zodiac while we made dives. Long dark hair bikini beauty says, nice boat, I see you need someone too run it? So we pounded on each other on tennis courts, took shower at Alice's then made dives. I answer door too assist director too labs. He intro us too director. We fix a problem director is having, making him say, we got too keep there boys around for awhile. We started diving for marine lab director, we start measuring octopus, etc... Smell from our seafood cooker brings other divers into our camp. We take then too see George, 14ft 6in octopus! They are superior lake wreck divers but George has them doing emergency accent! Take us too shore... I take everyone back to camp but I don't stay in camp, I motor up Hiro straight next too Stuart & Vancouver Island in my 16ft rubber raft. I hear a sound an see 1 black back an huge fin coming right at me! (Wanting to know what this raft was in his world?) He comes right at me broad side, huge back an fin coming closer. I tie down my dive bag an gear. I he flips me over I want to save as much as I can. He just keeps coming until he's inches right infront of me. I can't help myself I scratch his back as hard as I can with huge arm movements until he slips under my boat. Then I swing around at take 35mm picture of his fin an back coming up from my raft. He power braked , bending tail down an around under him (I never seen before), he stops, balances his head out of water by his 2 pectoral fins, turns in water until he's looking right at me! He nods his head at me 4 times. I'm shocked! I ask him if he want me too get into water with him. (I'm moving my arms to point too him an me then water?) This time he smacks water with whole upper body. (As in yes, you fool!) I find myself sliding into water an up too him. May I? You are way smoother than I thought you'd be! Then I get hit in my back. I turn to see orca hitting me in my back for attention. I turn for him an encircle her nose with my arms. But I'm still talking too him. Is this your mate? You must be happiest guy on planet? Look how beautiful she is? She put her nose under water an sonars, with me still holding her. Her sonar goes right through me!!! Up from depth comes 3 more! Now I'm surrounded by 5! You have too be so proud, look at your family! Sis next too dad, then bro, then uncle an back too mom. They waited their turn for my attentions. Until my hands got so cold I had too get out.. The encounter changed my life! I called my school principal too quit. Moved too Islands, diving, meeting John Wayne an many others!

I am interested to know why you think that. Could you send me a DM on my Instagram: syl.gautier Or just answer here if you don't have it. Thanks
@robertcornelius35143 жыл бұрын
@@SylGAUTIER , my 30 years experience in using an array of glues and epoxies. Also, my study in to what our forefathers used to connect joints. Way too many users put too much trust in to CA glues.
@SylGAUTIER3 жыл бұрын
@@robertcornelius3514 So you think over time the hinge will just pop out of the wood ? According to your experience, how long could it last ? Could you give me an example of something similar that happened to you ? Would you have a recommendation to do it differently ?
@robertcornelius35143 жыл бұрын
@@SylGAUTIER , not necessarily pop out, but it will loosen. CA has no "shock" qualities. I learned years ago that each wood has a shock rating. Hard maple being at the top of the chart. I wish there was a shock rating for glues. Tip: try to do more backroom testing than searching for everything on the internet. Good luck

Hi Sylvain.... what are you using when you drill 3 holes on into the orca to accept the rods? We spoke before, I use framing nails double headed cut down. They have always been a little awkward on the projects I do. Your whale is smaller then the things i do, so was wondering what you use ? THANKS !
@MrEmozhimo4 жыл бұрын
Hello, To drill the hole I use a dremel and a 2mm bit then I use 2.5mm screws.
@michaelfaresich30854 жыл бұрын
@@MrEmozhimo ... thanks for info.. I have been using kind of a double headed nail ground down . It keeps my wires from rubbing against the wood... problem is ... the two heads are to far apart and I get a lot of sloppiness . They are a framing nail , so when you bang them in , there is a top head to use to pull it out
