This whole idea, is news to me. I'm a fan of David Bird's Becorns. He begins with a sketch. But you have to imagine in three dimensions and ALSO in physics. Plus there's so much wood-carving! I'm interested in your process, not to try it, just as an artist who is fascinated by diverse thought processes. Such a good subject for videos.

I love your creations! Each one tells a personalized story to each of us your viewers. The world needs colours, humour, imagination, and your inspirations have these and more! Just an idea for you that I thought of when I watched the skeleton gardener watering his graveyard flowers, could you make a tableau painted with glow-in-the-dark paints? Turn off the lights and have a secondary story ready to surprise. Especially if not expected. Time for bed, turn off the lights, and “oh!” More magic. Thank you for you little treasures!

Oh my gosh, you just made me remember the automata of penguins swimming in the ocean near an iceberg that I made in... holy crap, 4th grade?!? It was really simple and made entirely of paper. Just penguins going up, turning over and going back down. The assignment was to make a diorama of a natural environment, and rather than just gluing some twigs and moss together to make a mini forest like all the other kids, I decided to make something more interesting. I know that the automata part of my project was _not_ part of the assignment. I think I got a lousy grade on it because I spent more time on making it than on researching the antarctic habitat, which was the underlying goal.

Imagine a kid in 1351, the black plague just ended, everybody is like Okay but not really grate either, kinda groggy for the most part. The kid got mud or something in their shoes, making weird noises as they walk, and some random dude hands them one of those automata toys. Doesn't elaborate and just vanishes like batman. They have no idea what is going on, shaking on it, yanking on it, and eventually turning on the wheel, making these little figurines come alive, and they just think this is the coolest, magical thing they had ever seen, running around their village showing it off to everyone. People would probably talk about what happened as the tale of the Wandering Wood magician.
