I think that in this comic, when Lyney is in school, he hides his identity as a performer, which is why Lumine doesn’t know that he’s actually the guy she likes. Now, according to canon lore, Lyney’s onstage persona is an act designed to entertain his audience, and he even goes so far as to lie about himself. If it were the same in this comic’s world, it’d be pretty sad, because that would mean that Lumine might be in love with the onstage persona, not Lyney himself, which would add a juicy layer of drama to this story.
