I grew up in Syracuse. Family has a few lake front summer places in Sylvan Beach. Fantastic memories of water skiing, fishing, eating (Eddie’s, Crazy Clam, Captain John’s, Harpoon Eddies, Carbone’s) and the amusement park every season. I loved Playland but Laffland was my thing. It was probably the impetus for my current park addiction. It might seem pretty cheesy now but it terrified me when I was a kid. So I rode it over and over again. Got to ride it again a few years ago and it was surreal how many memories it brought back. I remember thinking how old those rides looked when I was a young. I’m in my 60’s now. Can’t believe they’ve survived the wicked winters up there. I’m having phantom smells of the French fries with vinegar, boat fuel and the lake now.

My parents took me here when I was like 3 and I remember loving it-felt like Cedar Point to me back then. So glad to see the place still thriving

This park reminds me of strickers grove a little bit. Not in the admission process but the older rides and games. Tip top does do what you said, pops up to about 30 degree angle and comes back down quickly, and is one of my sons favorites

No way!!! I grew up down the road, but my “home park” was always Darien Lake because this is too small LOL

From what I heard, they've been waiting for a part for the Rotor and they recently just received it and it should be running next year. They also have a Dive Bomber ride which I saw briefly in your video and it looks like it was taken apart.
