Most entrees in the Philippines are salty so you can pair with rice. Also, we always share food with family so it’s not designed for one person. It has enough flavor so you can eat with a lot of rice in one bite so you can share with family. That’s why we have a lot of sauces and broths also. We eat with a lot of rice to get full because we have to share sometimes in one household with at least 6 people.

I arrived in Korea when I was stationed there during the middle of winter. All the vegetations are brown, looked very desolate. However, once spring comes and flowers started blooming the surrounding was so beautiful. I’d rather stay in Busan than Seoul.

Sylvia, if you are still in Manila on your birthday, the 9th of January, you should go to Quiapo Church where the ‘Feast of the Black Nazarene’ is celebrated on that day. It is the largest religious festival of Catholic Devotees. Something really special to experience while you’re in the Philippines. But please don’t go there by yourself…it can get very chaotic and intense!

Pancit Lucban is also called as "Hab-hab" because of how it should be eaten. "Hab-hab" is eaten without cutleries. You could try the authentic Pancit Lucban in Lucban, Quezon. It is also where Buddy's Restaurant was established. Have a safe stay here, ate Sylvia! Enjoy!

very very cold in SK. colder than here in Japan - i used to work as an EPS-Korean worker from the Philippines. Live and work there in Suwon-si Gyonggi-do in a plastic injection factory - now i'm in Japan living and working in a car parts factory. It's easy to learn the korean alphabet (hanguel) but too hard to learn how to speak conversationally - in complete opposite with japan (easy to learn speaking but too hard to write because of their 3 standard alphabets (hiragana, katakana and kanji) mix in all their sentences. anyways, i love you slyvia - winter, spring, summer of fall. (peace) 😁🥰😘
