18:12 is the moments I live for. The dramatic change of events, played by the whole violins, then the timpani... That's why I love Skogsraet of Sibelius (The awood Nymph), such a desastrous and dramatic outcome and so incredibly powerful.

Indeed a great reading of this powerfull piece from Dvorak. All my applaus to you maestro and beautifully done from all players. Just a perfect concentration from the very start until the last seconds of it ! My very first option for all Dvorak tone poems has always been from readings by Neeme Jarvi and the Scottish National Orchestra. Now, my best compliments are to you Mr. Fabrice Bollon and to this great players of the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen ! I would be really so glad to see and hear from your reading " The Hero´s Song " but " The Wild Dove " already shown your great Talent !!!

Artists of pop/rock music sing a song 6 minutes or so.......then they come with some bonus, to sing some more of it for the audience, then they come back to stage with another bonus, to make the show longer........But this isnt problem for great composers. They make the piece so long.....bonus after bonus after bonus in one piece....so the audience is never bored.

One of Dvorak's last symphonic works, you can discern how he was developing towards the new genre of post-romanticism. Great playing from this orchestra that doesn't enjoy an International high profile but is obviously extremely professional:-)
