Why the diagonals of the rectangle are nor considered as lines of symmetry ?

Because in line of symmetry you need to bend the shape in half and see if it is the same shape on both sides but in rectangle if you bend it in half corner to corner it will not be identical as a square would You can try getting a piece of paper and bend it corner to corner and the result will show why there are only two lines of symmetry in a rectangle not 4
