Regardless of other opinions, I somehow associate this track more with DBZA than in Kai.

Honestly Kenji Yamamoto's theme doesn't suit to dragon Ball. Thank God after his firing they used the original Kikuchi Score, the only problem with that is how less bgms were selected from there and how Miss handedly they were used

To be fair those songs dont fit do to he plagiarized from other artists which was ther own thing not related to db, but he did this for 20 years and flow to close to the sun.

They had a limited choice. It's a consequence from not having most (if not all) of his BGMs converted to digital or mixed in stereo. This is a reason to preserve at least most of the stuff in case it would eventually be reused.

I don't think that was the reason@@Mat7920H

For Z fans, yes, for Kai fans, he is our childhood. Remembering those days we enjoyed Kai episodes with Yamamoto score in Namek Saga was so joyful. Yes, I do like Kikuchi, Kikuchi is better in Android & Cell Saga, but Yamamoto nailed so good in Saiyan & Namek Saga that you can't deny that thing. I won't watch Kai with Kikuchi score in these two Sagas I mentioned aboved but with Yamamoto.

@@SpeedPunch Also, because Toei had to do things quick before the dubbed versions could move on to the next batch of episodes, the sound-mixers weren't given enough time to expand their library, causing them to be left with very little to work with. They would've had a vast majority of tracks had they been given a bit more time. But Toei at the time was used to making tight schedules; you've seen that in the animation of DBS as well.
