Thanks man this videos saved me a ton of money, I went to the mechanic thinking it was a transmission issue he tells me “yea i see transmissions go bad all the time on these cars” and went on to try and charge me an arm and a leg to fix it I had no clue about anything car related. I look up the codes my cars throwing on google an somehow landed on this video these were the exact things my car was doing so I looked up the throttle body for my car and ended up changing it myself with 4 easy to reach bolts all for 118$ thanks again I really do appreciate the people like you in this world who teach people rather than hate keep to scam people

@JesusFreak_247 at a "self wash" Places, I've wash the engine before, (I think that was screwed up the coils Last time), Generally, it's okay to wash off your engine, But you're supposed to cover certain things, I didn't do that this time.

@@kornaguilar4718 I use to do that with my Elantra 2008 and one day after washing it getting out from work it hesitated to go up in a small hill to second gear, so I push gas pedal to get to the light but has to keep pushing in other to stay running, then go on freeway. once I get home, I used my tool to get a code, when to google and walla, remove second spark plug coil and found wet, remove spark plug and wet. I had a set of brands new and installed. Problem fixed. ---From that day, I never did engine wash again.

I changed my throttle body, and I still get the "electronic throttle control" warning, so now I'm going to change my ECM and hope it fixes it!

Thanks for the info. My 2009 Nissan Altima does not have symptom 1 (engine light: no). Symptom 2 yes, hesitation to move, intermittently. It's been doing this off and on for about a year now. Symptom 3: no-no rough idling; Symptom 4 no, no stalling; Symptom 5: no, no going into limp mode; Symptom 6: no, it always starts just fine. So, my 2009 Altima only has symptom 2. Thanks again.

Just took one off a 02 buick century with about 270,000 miles and it was very dirty and gunky and had all these symptoms I've replaced 02 sensors coil pack ignition module spark plugs and wires tps sensor IAC valve and map sensor so hopefully this solves the issue

my 2016 Kia Sorento has this issue and is currently in the shop now. fortunately it's covered under a warranty I purchased with the car. the engine light came on and it's in a "limp/home/reduced power" mode which made driving on the highway super dangerous

Check for sufficient fuel pressure, clean air filter & intake and check for leaking air to start with.

Dude my car just had this problem like I drove the car for about 1 km to the gas station and then I filled petrol and start the car but the engine was revving itself in that condition like there was not even need to press the accelerator to pick up the vehicle just release the clutch and it will work like I have pressee the accelerator later on the same thing happened when I reached at my destination and turned on the car after 2 hours then I did was I popped the hood and poured some water on the engine block and you know that water evaporated which means the engine was overheated.

I had the same symptoms after cleaning the throttle body. It was revving randomly when put in park for a minute. Also car lost power randomly. I fixed it by replacing the throttle body. If you want to clean the throttle body, use a rag instead of spraying directly. Problem arises after spraying directly into the throttle body.

2013 Ford Fusion: So a check engine light flashed onto my dash after the car stalled a few times but still had power..( Minutes before I had just filled my tank). Anyway, I was able to drive it to my mechanic who I've never had a problem with. He kept it over night, then called and said he had clean my throttle body, which he said was stuck open and that everything was fine. He charged me $145 and I thought everything was fine. That was Tuesday. I drove it hope which is only 3 blocks from my house. So I go to Walmart yesterday (Friday) which is about 8 blocks from my house and the same things happened but worse. This time car stalled, NO Power , a WRENCH light is on and one of the AIR BAG lights is on. I tried to drive it a few more times but same problem stalled, no power, wrench light, air bag light. I parked it for the night. So my question is: Is it possible that the mechanic just cleared the Code for the check engine light and charged me the $145? or Was cleaning the throttle cable a temporary fix and He really should have replaced it? Was it something else and my driving it caused more damage to the transmission, emission system or engine as a whole? Why the heck would one of the air bag lights suddenly come on? I took it back so I'm waiting for a reply I just wanted some opinions. Thanks.

I have the same problem and I as well have 2013 ford fusion and also the wrench comes on my dash as well but I thought it was the throttle body but I’m not sure either I went to a for dealership they say they cover it unless they run a diagnostic first which is $160 but if nothing comes up after they done it there’s nothing they can do. But I honestly think it’s a internal issue with car tbh

I got a 1990 Honda Civic DX it's a program fuel injection I've seen where people press the butterfly valve and it rotates a mechansm where the TPS goes mine doesn't rotate mine is like stuck

I changed out my throttle body completely after getting a check engine light code for it. Since the new one has been in I’m now having issues like vibrating engine, no gas pedal power/ acceleration, rough idling, etc Si de I swapped for a brand NEW throttle body, what else could it now be ? MAF sensor perhaps ?

Dealer smoke tested and found a leak where the cable assemble interfaces with the body. Is it possible to seal the leak? Or replace the body?

I've been having the random misfire code for months and all of these issues. Replaced spark plugs. EGR valve (recommended by a mechanic) still. I accidently left the throttle body sensor unplugged and now my car running better than ever. A bit confused by all this...

2011 Ford Fusion SLE with a 3.0 Liter. While driving the wrench light comes on and the motor goes into a rough idle. Pull over and turn the car off and the problem resets till you try pulling out again. Bad Throttle Body example here

Hey there. Did you do a throttle body re learn after cleaning it? I had this same issue causing the traction light to come on and going into limp mode. I bought a good OB2 scanner and performed a relearn. Now it’s running great.

I'm having this problem with my car when Im at a full stop at a traffic light and just letting my car idle out my steering wheel will shake and the car its self would shake and jerk, and all of a sudden when I accelerate my steering wheel would stop shaking, and my car would jerk or feels like it is going to die out even burbles coming out from my muffler, but when I fully step in gas pedal the car would run normal when I accelerate fast.

Can a TB cause shaking only at idle. My car runs smoothly but shakes at idle. As soon as I press on the gas my car zooms. Never had any stalling or surging or even the perception. My TB plate looks almost as clean as new (shiny all round), I still sprayed TB cleaner several times to be sure. Rough shake hasnt gone. My idle at the stop light is below 1k(~650 rpm) and consistent. Happened only one time, when I pressed on the gas hard to make a fast turn at the signal from stop, my etc light came on and my car seemed to go into limp mode. I turned the car off and on and problem hasnt recurred, have even pressed hard on the gas several times at a stop to make a turn, no issues since. Randomly my car takes a couple starts to start, cranks every time. I also have a rich LTFT ~-12.5% at the stop in drive (always -12.5%). Fluctuates fine when driving. STFT always close to zero. In park LTFT ~ -22%. Can it still be the throttle body or TB sensors?

Thank you for this!!! My vehicle has been acting up off & on for 2 years now. Nobody can figure out what’s wrong because it doesn’t do it consistently so the dealership never sees it. I am wondering if it’s occasionally getting stuck on the open or close. Usually it stops idling low and rough when we push the gas while it’s in park.. maybe that’s forcing it to open?

I have a 2015 nissan pathfinder code p0101 came up 4 weeks ago. I was told it's the MAF sensor. I replaced that and the air filter. One week later the engine light came back on for the same issue so I replaced it again and reset the computer. I now have a rough idle and same code. I notice that my plate on throttle is rusted around the edges. Is it possible that the throttle body is bad and causing the MAF circuit code??

Mine gets stuck for some reason at certain times when you repeatedly press the gas pedal. It fixes itself once in a while, but sometimes you have to shut off the engine and once again start it, but it still pops up. Pretty sure, it’s the problem of a throttlebody. It’s old, I have cleaned it, but it doesn’t help.

Thank thank sm I just bought a new car n it started having issues less than a week 😂 I thought I bought a F… Up car but I scan my car n 3 codes came up P1233 (Bank 2) driver side throttle body, P1236 throttle control motor relay circuit open bank 2, P1290 throttle motor circuit short bank 2 I guess the last owner didn’t rlly took care of it so I been doing research n I guess the throttle body is going bad and I try to clean it but that didn’t do anything codes was still showing up n car still F… up so I order a use throttle body to test it out n see if anything happen or fixes hopefully it jus the throttle body

Okay, I know Im really late to this video, but my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has stalled on me while driving twice in the past two days. The electronic throttle control light stays on during a safe start. In the video he says it happens while stopped, but its happened while reversing once and accelerating another time. Any and all advice is appreciated

Started my car after a few minutes months of the year not driving it. Put the car in reverse and pressed the pedal but nothing happened. Decided to press a little harder and the car accelerated so hard. Put the car back in drive and it accelerated so fast without touching the pedal. I put the car back in park. Now each time I start the car, the engine is revving high like it wants to accelerate on it's own. What would cause that?

What if i cleaned the tb and after a few months now the lightning bolt light cane on dashboard. Now car wont turn on so im debating whether its needing anew throttle body or a new fuel pump.

I cleaned the TB and it didn't make any differance. 9 months later the engine would turn over but not fire. Changes the fuel pump and it fixed both issues. A week later the car runs, but the TB symptoms are back. Going to replace the Throttle body today and hope that it fixes it for good. Driving in heavy traffic with the revs dropping out all the time is a nightmare. It must be fixed. Ill let you know how I go..

Ok so I got a 16 Genesis coupe 3.8 and any suggestions would be appreciated. But I have a P0507 code popping up at idle it bounces slightly from about 900 to 950 if that but when I drive and it is manual but say I just pop into neutral and start to coast or come to a stop the rpm’s drop to about 900 then rev up to 2000 then right back down. I checked for vacuum leaks clean multiple sensors around the intake and throttle body cleaned the throttle body twice and nothing. I think it’s the throttle body but it doesn’t have a lot of build up even when I cleaned it first any ideas

Hi, my audi a4 b7 intermittently goes into limp mode only when slowly accelerating from a stop. Car doesn't go into limp mode at cruising speed. When light turns green i just lightly pressed on the gas pedal and it goes into limp mode. There are no check engine light or codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

On my way home from a karate tournament this weekend. My 2015 Ford Taurus limited went into limp mode and the wrench light came on. I could barely move. I pulled off the highway. Restarted the car. Everything was fine about 10 minutes later. Same thing. Went through that three or four times. Finally just called for a tow. I'll find out in a little bit. What's wrong with it? Hoping it's nothing major

Check MAF sensor or Egr valve. If not fuel filter. Try cleaning MAF sensor w cleaning or replacing the fuel filter.

hopefully someone could help, but i have a dodge charger 2007 5.7 hemi and when i enter 2nd gear the car starts shaking from moderate to heavy. even when coming to slow stop to make a turn (on a street) it shakes a bit. i normally take my foot off the gas and press down again until it goes away.

Hey there @yarymmot3931 I cleaned my throttle body and I did move the valve quite a bit to clean it as I didn’t disconnect it from the vehicle, now my engine light is on. For yours to turn off, did you completely removed the TB when you cleaned it? I saw somewhere that moving the valve too much can cause the TB to no longer work and need replacing… just seeing how I can fix this without spending $200

The computer is trying to read the tbs so it’ll act up and not send codes SOMETIME. It could be bad throttle bodies, that’s just what I pieced together with mine. Gonna swap them by tmrw and see what’s good
