Thanks for the informative video! Lately I’ve been having transmission problems where my car is stuck in overdrive after I come to a complete stop. Could a solenoid start failing even if there are no codes shown on the OBD scanner?

Usually, a bad solenoid will give a code. Be sure the scan tool can read transmission codes. Also, if possible, be sure the transmission fluid is not low or dirty.

Sometimes I wish you guys would use a car with the symptom instead of just explaining it right show us a car with a bad solenoid that way we know what to look for instead of explaining the symptoms because they are pretty much sound the same..but great video

It seems like there should be codes. Does your scan tool read transmission codes? If you don't have a scan tool that reads transmission codes, many automotive stores will do a scan for free.
