Would these cause high idle? Im getting code P0175, camshaft position actuator relay circuit ranger/performace I replaced the relay, nothing. also the small mini fuses for the VVT, keep popping everything the car starts. I have a 2016 4 cylinder. Car idles at 1500 rpm all the time, in park, drive, reverse, neutral.

Is there an extended crank sequence when you start the car? Does it still ride smooth or is it a little rough?

Hi guys, I have a 2012 Ford Edge SEL AWD and ultimately I’ve been having very low gas mileage but no engine light. Replaced air filter, cleaned maf sensor, replaced spark plugs and aligned the tires. Hope somebody can give me some advice.

My 2012 Kia forte ex has a ticking sound coming from the left side by the vvt when you rev the engine sounds like a loud ticking noise the noise goes away when the car is driven at high speeds like anything over 30 mp but the sound comes back when idling you can hear it. Any ideas on how to check the vvt before I take it to a mechanic who I do not trust with my car. the car does have some hesitation going uphill and does not get up to speed as fast as it should be could this be the main issue?

Hmm do you have a check engine light now by any chance? Sounds like a misfire, I had the same symptoms and I had code p1310. You can pull out your spark plugs and check for any oil on them/ or bad signs of it or look at the ignition coils and look for any bad signs, and if your car doesn’t get up to speed and hesitates on hills sounds like a bad vvt, but to make sure does your car rpm fluctuate ?

@@unokim5452 the cars rpm only fluctuates at start up it jumps up to about 1500 rpm then it takes a good 5 to 10 minutes if not longer for it to idle back down below 800 and it is very annoying to have to sit there that long before I have to go to work the store etc.

@@Aaron-hd8ql hmm thats weird have you tried cleaning the idle control valve? Because I also had a similar problem with my Honda, just wasn't as bad as yours it would be on around 1500 rpm also but for like a min or so. I just spray it with intake cleaner and it fix my problem. I'll look up into your car to try and help you if you still have the issue.

Can someone help me please ! I have the following problem with my Volvo S60 T5 2001 year ; 250HP......when engine is cold and i start it, car performance it`s okay, if i don`t stop the engine even for a loong time driving it`s still okay. But if when engine already hot and i restart the engine performance drops dramatically....i need to wait it to cool down to be again with normal performance. Is it possible that it is due to a change in the viscosity of the oil cause VVT issues ?
