In this video i discuss the symptoms of a bad spark plugs. I will answer and explain the most common problems such as when to change spark plugs, why there is oil on them and I will address what to do when there is an engine misfire caused by worn spark plugs.

I had some of these symptoms and although I dont have the misfire I can tell it doesn't have the get up and go that it use to so it made me think to look at my mileage and at 65 when purchased it's now 136 so most likely plugs and injectors are original. 🙄 great post👍🏾😎

This is it here. My problem exactly. I've looked at cooling, electrical, air, and fuel, but dint suspect spark plugs. They are the same ones from the previous owner. No misfires, so I thought they were still good. No codes. Nope, the ride ride did need new spark plugs

I’m at 133k miles on my 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi. Runs like a champ but I’m starting to feel some vibration as I sit idle while truck running. Not a bad vibration, but I feel a vibration. Changing plugs and coils this weekend

Thanks.....I got the long crank issue and the occasional rough idle. The long crank has gotten progressively worse on my 2005 Maxima as the weather get cooler. Changing all 6 ignition coils and plugs ASAP

I unknowingly bought fake spark plugs online. They were too cheap, that's the only way to know ahead of time. Really messed up my engine performance. Bucking, rough idle, poor acceleration, and red hot exhaust pipe. If you experience any of this, buy a better set immediately!! I paid 5x more to buy authentic iridium plugs after that experience! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Knockoff spark plugs can really screw up your ride!!! 😭😭😭 I changed my fuel pump, injectors, coils, clutch, harmonic balancer, and motor mounts. The shaking still didn't stop! I had just replaced my spark plugs so I didn't even consider it. I hope these evil people preying on unknowing victims selling fake sh*t disappear off the face of the earth. 💯

My 2000 Honda civic had a studdaring feel and weak acceleration scanned P0302. So I changed the spark plugs but the symptom still there. Could it be because I didn’t change the hoses?

You mention the coil? Also the civic is at 193,000

Almost definitely the ignition coil. Use a scanner - see which P300 code comes up. Say it comes up as P301. That means cylinder one is misfiring. Take that ignition coil out and switch it with another coil. If the “miss follows” to the other cylinder (which you can tell using your scanner again) then that’s a bad coil. If the misfire stays on the same cylinder it’s likely a bad/clogged fuel injector. But it’s almost always the coil. And thankfully, because it’s a much simpler fox

Do spark plugs wear with use? Meaning mileage...or time? In other words i have iridium plugs on my 2015 Infiniti...car only has 78k miles tho...10 years old but only 78k and plugs are supposed to be good until 105k...so do they wear with mileage or they can go bad from being 10 years old ?

My car Hyundai i10 was misfiring, l took it to 3 garages in London, they told me is the timing chain, one of the garages have changed the timing chain but the problem didn't go away, l took it back again, they said the chain fell, so after putting it back again, it looked as if they fix it because my car was not idling. The next day rough idling and shaking was back again, although they changed the oil, camshaft, iac, air filter, spark plagues, they have also cleaned the throttle body and checked for vacuum air, the problem wouldn't go away plus my car is consuming a lot of fuel. The car is fine the First 2 to 4 miles and then it rough idle is back again where do you they should check next, it has been already 3 weeks?

@@MrTuna8000 No, it is not the engine mounts, it turned up to be the engine, so l decided to scrap it, because fitting a new engine plus the labour would have cost me £1400, the car is only 13 plate, unfortunately the previous owner has not maintained the car properly he tricked when he sold it to me
