@@alisonxra In practice, the person of the planet Venus feels and notices the ascendant first. It will be reciprocal if there is a conjunction between venus and ascendant. The ascendant is just a point of reference, in practice, it is not a planet, so it has no energy, so it is Venus that is mirrored in the ascendant (1st house) as its ideal.

Hi I've been researching this aspect for faaar too long :P I looked charts of celebrities in astrocharts's web and tried to research this as Jewel pointed out. My findings are : 1. when someone's venus (male) conjunct my ascendant (female), I see them as super duper beautiful like super starstruck (no other physical attractions aspects whatsoever such as venus-mars, sun-ac, mars-ac). The tighter the aspect the more powerful the attraction ; 2. when my venus (female) conjunct someone's ascendant (female and male), I do find them beautiful in general not like starstruck but I find them very pleasant to look at; 3. when someone's venus (female) conjunct my ascendant (female), I do find them beautiful but I kind of irritated at first as in jealousy (no repellant aspects whatsoever). The tighter the aspect the more I resent them for nothing :( I also have this aspect with my bestfriend, at first I didn't like her at all when I first saw her, out of nothing :"P and after getting to know her we're becoming soooo close so fast! like twin souls. astrology is so funny indeed! feel free to correct me

Specially when you have virgo Venus on your ascendant.. your partner is so demanding of how you present yourself and you will have to keep up with his standards. I see more negative in this placement. If you have a friendly Venus on your rising could be better.. if a planet not in its friendly sign it will bring negative traits I dealt with a lot of criticism.. he was so much drawn to me but he kept complaining. I as an ascendant person was very much attracted to him as well. Yes that was a love at first sight. A man’s venus is in my first house but close to my second house cusp yet I was EXTREMELY attracted to him at first sight more than any man ever before. I later contemplated that he is like the god of men to me not like any normal mortal man!
