I am the Saturn person in this aspect. This was very insightful on my part, and I hope not to make my partner feel like I disapprove of their goals. My Saturn falls in his 7th house too, so I'll take extra care to be more supportive

I think your own natal aspect comes into play. Since my sun square my saturn already, when I got in a relationship with someone with a sun square saturn synastry, they gave me something I was seeking and it felt more like a trine than a square because of this. It also helps that I was in my journey to self improvement so it was probably that as well.

Absolutely. It always goes back to the natal charts, and also what type of people we are dealing with. I found that Sun square Saturn also can mean that Saturn person may be a bit cautious and has their guard up. Also I came across a very interesting forum where they also said that Saturn aspects are like glue, and in square aspect the Sun person has a lot of respect towards Saturn and both have a hard time to let go and feel they are like bound (Saturn) to each other. So it doesn’t need to be all doom and gloom

For me it quite the opposite and I would like to add it always comes down to both natal charts and what type of individuals we have! It also can create a beautiful binding effect, where both people have a life long relationship, and a lot of respect. Again, neither squares or Saturn are always bad and we should always take an individual look at things!

Yes, all Saturn - Sun strong aspect is difficult in synastry. Very karmic tie, but saturn will always be or felt as critical somehow by the sun person. It’s like the sun person can’t be himself or has difficulties to express himself in compagny of saturn person, without feeling the judgement from the saturn person. It’s like we’re blocked. I had my sun conjunct saturn with my father and an ex, and they were always critical, cold and wanted to restrain my personality, my behaviour. Very authoritarian aspect. If a person lacks confidence, it’s a hell, because saturn will destroy the sun person by make them feel like shit or like it’s never good or enough. I am saturn person with a friend, squaring his sun, and i though he is childish, and want to see him being more mature. It’s like a parental, educative but restrictive contact.

I had this one in synastry but my partner had it is natal chart and his sun in my 10th house i'm saturn he is sun but i didn't see him as child i like him so much he is my soulmates we like the same we have thz same goal at first ibwas always wabting to made him better vefire knoIng him but when i knew him i was fascinated by his personnality so saturn square sun work in this case as saturn trine sun cuz his sun is in my 10th house ruled by saturn and he sees me in an authoritative way he trust me deeply this is. My experience so that's mean that not always saturn square sun is bad sometimes it makes thz saturn person like deeply the personnality if the sun i'm proud of him

i have saturn square sun with someone where he is the sun person, however we have uranus sextile moon together and he is the moon person -- and he feels like he can be himself around me. i find that very interesting. he already has sun inconj saturn, and i can see some insecurities on his part and on mine and the kind of person i am -- while tough, is very nurturing. i appreciate you writing your experience because i need to keep in mind to not be so defensive with him and also lean more on the nurturing part of myself to make him feel safe. i want things to be right between us but i feel a need to protect him and protect his heart, and i want to nurture him all at the same time. our composite chart seems to suggest that we grow well together and has a lot of supportive themes, so its interesting i think its possible that his sun inconj saturn feels at home with our sun square saturn. but saturn is a planet that doesnt like being told what to do. he already feels like he knows exactly what is wrong and it makes him feel bad when people tell him he's doing something wrong. so i think the key to dealing with this aspect could possibly be that the saturnian person needs to be mindful of being critical. say what needs to be said but be considerate. ive also read from other people's experiences that saturn square sun takes place in a lot of friendships where the friendship is very lasting so something to consider

Ugh. Awful aspect to have. 😒 My experience being the sun person felt like the saturn person strongly disapproved of my sense of self and everything I did. Did not feel accepted for being myself at all. It eats away at you over a long period of time... His pluto squared my sun as well though and those two planets of his fell in my 12th. Big yikes. 0/10 would not recommend 😅

As the Saturn person in the relationship, I guarantee you we don’t realize it’s happening as it is happening, but with this in Aspect in relationships it’s just hard for the Saturn person to understand your ego when it’s completely different from what Saturn is trying to teach us in our lives. It’s almost as if the sun person adds more restrictions towards the Saturn person’s success because of the sun persons ego . I have Saturn in Aries 10th house . As a Saturn in Aries it’s the worst Saturn placement to have & we have enough restrictions placed upon us alone.

Jewel! I have this aspect with my dad. He's the saturn person. I went to pharmacy school and flunked badly because i wasn't passionate about it, it was his dream, not mine. Now I'm an astrologer studying herbal medicine and he really doesn't say it, but he disapproves of my life path. I can't help but feel like a disappointment to him. Its even worse because his chiron squares my sun 💔

I have a close friend that I really like, but we have this aspect in synastry. We've known each other for years and at first we were very different but as time went by we evolved in the same way. We are the only ones that are spiritual and who work on themselves, out of our whole friend group. Most of other aspects are really good, BUT my Saturn conj. Uranus in my 4th Sag is squaring his Sun conj. Venus in Pisces in his 10th AND his Saturn conj. Neptune in his 8th Cap is square my Aries Mars. The rest are only good aspects. This bums me out. I really like him and I don't know if I'll ever tell him how I feel. And he's shy. 😒

Just my opinion, but I think you shouldn't let astrology and aspects dictate your life and the choices you make. Take a chance but understand that every relationship is going to have its ups and downs. But the key thing is to take the time to sit down, and communicate and work through those problems. Good luck in whatever choice you make! But understand that this is your life, the power of choice is in your hands.

I have this with two close friends, but here the thing in my own chart I tend not to speak my feelings, I just think it, two of them can be EXTREMELY CHILDISH, and over compensate for their talents thinking they don't need to work on it at least a bit, they have constant shift in what they think is good and they put down anyone who they think is inferior, so I tend to just think of my criticism and not say it, so they dont feel uncomfortable being able to express themselves, so they feel very comfortable with me, because there are attributes they excel at which they can use more of their time into, now maybe they will get better over time, I dont know, but I know right now they can be unbearable to deal with especially when it comes to secretly putting other people down in order to make themselves feel better because they haven't accomplished the things that they thought they were great at. Ive read in some sites that the sun has the power to transcend more over the Saturn due to the restrictions, so I just keep my mouth shut on that one, and just see if they will actually grow over time, ITS A VERY HARD ONE TO DEAL WITH

I’ve read that the Sun native eventually outgrows the Saturn. Nevertheless the negativity of the placement creates a situation where Saturn does mean and insecure things to block the Sun. It’s truly a sick aspect to be honest, I’m sure those with strong Sun placements and aspects avoid getting too close to the Saturn person. I had to learn this the hard way with my Libra Sun in the 8th house. Saturn can be extremely cruel to the Sun.

@Hoops Kevinski best sex ever. Literally. Very steamy hot. The mars person straight adores the moon but sometimes the mars burns or cuts at the moon and doesn’t think they do at all and it causes the moon to be very reactive and just a very dramatic aspect.
