Hola!!!! Perfect timing, my S2400 should be arriving soon, this is exactly the way I had envisioned using her with the X. Also looking forward to the 3.0 update as well, some much needed improvements to the mixing side of the MPC. Similar setup, I'm using MPC4k and S2400. I found for song writing it makes more sense to use one sequencer. So I use MPC4k to sequence drums from S2400, as well as synths or melodic samples. That way can sequence everything into song mode. Tbf, absolutely could do it the other way round with S2400 as the master, just the midi note editing is less strong. Agree drum sequencing is a tad nicer on the S2400 if you like step sequencers. What I love most about this combo is: - best of both worlds for sound (I.e. 12 bit treatment vs clean) - S2400 modes work geat with MPCs, e.g. setting midi mode to pitch or slice can be then sequenced via the MPC accordingly - expands outputs for recording into a daw via analog outs (e.g. 8 from S2400 + outs from MPC)

Ah I miss my 4000. I think out of all the MPCs I’ve owned since 1989, that’s the one I miss the most. I would love to have that set up with my 2400.
