Easily the WORST system in the car business. I'm usually pretty savvy with car audio but the SYNC system is beyond horrible and complicated. PLEASE FIX THIS FORD. It took me a good 20 minutes and a YT video just to figure out how to play bluetooth audio. Whoever thought this system was a good idea needs to be beaten. This version of SYNC is what the deepest parts of what Hell looks like. Avoid this system at all costs folks.

I finally decided to check KZbin to see if anyone could show me how to use my Sync system for my music from my iPhone. After owning my truck for over a year, this video showed me how to do it! lol. Thank you, and deep down inside I KNEW my truck could stream my music but I just couldn't figure it out! I will say for my 2012 powerstroke there is one difference, I pressed the Voice button (not the media button) to get a command prompt. Then I said "Bluetooth Audio" and sure enough, a little lightening bolt showed up on my display that I've never seen before and the truck talked back to confirm Bluetooth Audio is on...and my music started playing! Thank you for posting this!

Thank you! You have no idea how much I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out. I couldnt find anything in the button menus then found your video. At first it wouldnt recognize my voice command and kept going back to "sync line in" screen but after a factory reset and rebooting sync it works perfectly!

not quiet hand free with phone. I have the same problem. you need to have your music phone app open then play on the phone first. I which the sync system will do everything for you.

Obviously you can’t beat the convenience of Bluetooth audio but when compared to using a USB connection there’s a noticeable decline in sound quality. Not only does the USB connection sound better but it also displays the track name and artist on the dash display screen, you can hit the “text” button left of the arrows and cycle through the output info .

Oddy Nuff I know this comment is 5 months old but incase you’re still curious about this..... if you’re listening to am/fm press the AUX button, then hit the MENU button, it should display”Bluetooth audio”, then press the OK/select button in the middle of the right hand side spinner knob opposite to the volume spinner knob

Depending on which vehicle you have, click your "sources" button until it switches over to bluetooth streaming. The button may be called aux on some vehicles.

On my 2012 Lariot I have a button on the touch screen to enable blue tooth. Thanks to Ford for that because I have to scream at the top of my lungs before the system hears me for some reason. Before learning that I looked like a psycho sitting at a traffic light screaming at my dash.

@JimboSzn We had tried everything we could think of to connect our phones correctly. This video is hilarious because it actually works. I haven't tried your manual change yet, but I sure as heck don't believe you ....just kidding... lol... because of all the buttons we pushed for hours during a long trip to try to get it to work. I'll laugh hard if this works.

Dude, they're both digital media. They both can have very high bit rates or very low bit rates. The only difference is that Bluetooth doesn't scratch and skip. Nice try though.
