Synchronicity: The Meaning and Quantum Origins of Seven Types of Synchronicities

Here are some specific examples of each type of synchronicity: ➡ Precursor Synch: Reading the phrase "down the alley" in a book just as you overhear someone else say it, seeing a news segment about a pet raccoon in Idaho nicknamed The Bandit and an hour later a van pulls in front of you in traffic decal'ed in big letters "The Bandit" with a picture of a Raccoon as the business mascot, finding an old notebook about your golfing notes which you abandoned a decade ago and just then an email comes in asking if you have any golfing tips to share, refrigerator lightulb goes out the same day two lightbulbs go out at work. So basically random stuff aligning. The typical kind of synchronicity. ➡ Deviation Synch: Seeing three separate car accidents in the span of two blocks on a non-busy street, noticing a patch of grass that looks like a crab and just as you turn the corner there's an actual crab walking across the sidewalk when you've never seen one in the area before, making a last minute decision to go somewhere and you get nothing but red lights, broken railroad crossing signals blocking traffic and you finally get there and they're closed that day due to an emergency. Just improbable things that happen as a result of an improbable decision to do something. ➡ Expansion Synch: Same as Precursor Synch but often more elegant and may carry symbolic meaning. Hummingbird shows up outside the window and you go outside to take a look and there's double rainbow and just then a truck drives by with number 1111 on it, and this during a time when your mind's been blasted open by new realizations and learnings of a spiritual nature. Not always symbolic, though, but definitely elegant and improbable. Differs from precursor synchs in that they accompany transformation rather than precede anything bad happening. ➡ Message Synch: Symbolic numbers, recurring omens or signs, house roof leaks and then car roof starts leaking too and bag of food in fridge leaks and makes a mess which indicates something deeper going on, etc. ➡ Manifestation Synch: You're thinking to yourself it would be nice to have a mirror and one with a green border because green is the color of the heart chakra, and then your neighbor moves out that same day and leaves behind a green bordered mirror outside for anyone to take. I didn't make that one up. ➡ Artificial Synch: You get your eBay order in the mail and open it only to find your order must have been switched with another because you received some white underwear instead of the baseball hat you ordered, and then you notice a U-Haul truck parked outside with a big Utah decal on it, and then overnight someone places a Book of Mormon on your doorstep and it all makes sense now. You think this must be a message from God and consider joining the Mormons. Intuitively you're not sure about this, but if "that's what God wants" then you give in despite inner uneasiness. Your freewill has been manipulated without you realizing it. ➡ Opportunity Synch: You get a check for $400 in the mail due to some class action lawsuit settlement you weren't aware of, that night your car's alternator dies and it ends up being a $392 repair and at the shop you get hungry and nearby there's a burger place with an $8 combo special. Or someone at the grocery checkout comments on something you're wearing, it starts a conversation, turns out he's head of a company looking to hire the very position you're good at, so you apply for the job and get it, and at a work party you meet a friend of a coworker and this friend ends up being your soul mate. I'd count that one as a message synch, because it's very pointed wisdom and confirms what you already intuitively knew. But hey, "That's just confirmation bias, right? Last year I was driving down the street in Mexico. I stopped at the red light and was right behind a bus. It was the afternoon after a long day so I wasn´t paying attention to anything. Anyways, there was a weird song on the radio in spanish that said "El amor es eterno. Viaja, se transforma y siempre regresa a ti". The translation is " Love is eternal. It travels, transforms and always comes back to you." It was a strange song and I had never heard it before or after this day. Now, the freaky part comes when my 15 year old daughter says: "Mom, look at the back of the bus. It had a Sticker that said the exact same thing as the song. "Love is eternal. It travels, transforms and always comes back to you." I tried to get my phone out to snap a picture of the bus, but it left before I could find my phone. That was such a strange synchronicity and I carry the message close to my heart. I loved it!

I walked into a book store once, with a friend who was looking for a western for his fiance. I usually hate Western novels, I never read them, and I hate it. But something compels me to pick up a book. And the books main character is the exact same name as mine. The main characters father was the same name as my grandpa. The main characters daughter was the same name as my aunt. I bought the book and it was one of the best I ever read. After that, I believed in miracles.

I had a similar experience in New Orleans antique book store. I asked the owner specifically if there were any books about Cuba In the 1800s. My ancestors are from there. He did his best to help me, but nothing seemed to fit. So I wandered around and randomly pulled out an old book, opened it up and it was describing the exact same events surrounding a ghost tour my friend and I had just completed, thinking this was odd, I bought it. Next day, on a bus tour to a plantation, I opened the book for the second time and read the words “Matanzas is beautiful.” The author, was touring Cuba, in 1850 and she was describing the town where my grandfather was born and many generations of my ancestors lived since the 1580s. My friend’s jaws dropped on that one.

I know what you mean.The issue was that I had to pack a lot of info into a short video and that meant using more technical language instead of analogies and metaphors for everything which would take 2x-3x longer. If there's anything in particular you're unclear about, just ask me and I'll translate. It's not necessary to memorize the various categories of synchs, by the way, I only listed them out to show people that synchs don't all mean only one thing. So I wanted people to consider that maybe there are different types that have different causes or meanings.

So that’s 3 ppl in the past 12 years I have been drawn to on a certain level that have the same bday, with different birth years!!! I know our astrology signs are either a perfect fit or a nightmare, my ex husband was my nightmare pair for years, but I’m recently on experiencing my spiritual journey and just randomly had a encounter with this person, who appears to also exist on a different spiritual level than the average person. Thanks for the feedback. It's unfortunate that some people call this 'fear based thinking' but I call it 'awareness based thinking' because instead of ignoring the negative I want to be aware of it while viewing it from a higher positive context. The first is "ignorance is bliss" and the second is "higher knowledge is bliss." I'm glad you get that. It's a delicate balance between being discerning about traps while, at the same time staying anchored in what matters most which is your own spiritual expression, balance, and health. Too many get so caught up in fighting and analyzing the darkness that they lose sight of the light of spiritual wonder and happiness. I mean the whole point of being aware of the dark stuff is so that you can pursue the positive stuff more safely and effectively and perhaps help others do likewise.

13:31 That experiment is known as the Delayed Choice experiment and among the most eerie in QM. In one example of the test, a large galaxy sits in between the Earth and an extremely distant quasar, billions of light years away. The gravity of the intervening galaxy causes the light from the quasar to "lens" around it, splitting the image into 2 or more copies. An observer on Earth can then attempt to re-combine the images using a converging lens. The two sources of light will then combine to produce a series of alternating lines, called an "interference pattern". If the observer tries to detect the individual light sources before they hit the converging lens, the pattern will disappear. It seems that depending on the type of measurement taken, the observer can force light emitted BILLIONS of years ago to behave as either a particle or a wave, effectively changing a "choice" that should have been established when the photons were first emitted. This concept is known as "retrocausality" and the implications are somewhat disturbing.

I experienced something like that. I lost my little notebook with lots of interesting notes. I was extremely hopeless, like my work had been lost. Up to this moment it is still lost, though I don't care already. I wanted to get it back, even with some kind of a reward, though nothing. Even thought, it would be weird if I find soulmate through this happenstance. Too much fantasizing about "taking it back". I abandoned idea of finding it lately, like it should have happened. After overcoming that grief I started to see it as a possible helpful thing to some, that's it. Who knows, who knows. Life is an unpredictable thing.

There’s something that I’ve noticed that I’d like to label “Synchronistic Sabotage.” For example - You become aware of some spooky/weird activity or patterns in you’re environment. At the moment of you’re realization, you’re surrounded by a person (or group of people) that you believe may not be fully conscious to what you’ve become aware of. They are just reactors to the patterns At the exact moment when you open your mouth to try make the others aware of what you’ve observed, something happens that has an high energy/ chaotic/ explosive /jolting /shocking quality to it. And it seems as though the goal of that event is to distract, derail (as in your train of thought) and disorientate and suck you totally into it - to the point of making you forget what you originally had in mind of telling others - to sabotage your efforts. Ex. - The phone rings and something crazy or extremely critical just happened (a crisis) and it has to be dealt with right now. - Something comes crashing through your window - Something explodes in your environment - someone runs into your space with some crazy drama - you get a text message that demands your immediate attention - something that you need to use to communicate or illustrate what you’ve become aware of (that’s worked flawlessly before - never showed any signs of degrading in performance) suddenly totally breaks at that precise moment - someone around you suddenly gets extremely sick - the electrical power goes out What ever the event, it seems to have the same agenda - something is trying really hard to make you change the subject and ultimately - make you forget about it altogether.

Right on, this is definitely something that happens. I've gotten it with trying to get sleep. During certain periods in life where I seem to be under the gun, I'll get interference like this at the exact moment I'm finally able to fall asleep, and not a second sooner or later. It's uncanny. But what you describe encompasses a wider range of phenomena. Other forms of interference I've noticed include you or someone else getting extremely tired all of a sudden, or spacing out and not hearing what's being said, or getting irrationally angry/cranky. I think synchronistic interference/sabotage happens due to a mix of factors that varies from case to case and person to person: 1) actual negative entities trying to screw with us and limit progress or censor the spread of forbidden information, 2) our own subconscious negative programming manifesting this into existence, and 3) tests that are part of our spiritual curriculum.

This is a truly superb video. Every remaining question and doubt I had about Synchronicity was answered and , I hope, solved. I was fearful at times then it began to happen so much that I said "I must not doubt that this is a positive/neutral force/forces at play . Yes, I did when 39 was the number of my townhouse. I didn't know at the time, but my boyfriend who moved in with me was a black magician and was smoking meth in my basement. Soon the entire house was filled with demons and portals and I had nightmares fighting demonic and alien entities and would wake up parallyzed and in pain where they stabbed me. The house became so haunted my children were terrified and I kicked out the boyfriend and moved. We've never had those problems here and I don't see 39 anymore; only good numbers now.

I'm just now getting into this stuff because i met a guy almost 7 months ago who i had a connection with that seemed "unnatural." I’ll never forget one of the largest synchronicities I can remember, I was pulling an old coat out of a storage box in the back yard shed, I remember standing there with my buddy and saying “Man this thing still smells like the house fire” - the last time I wore it. This video has confirmed a lot of my conclusions on the matter, and it has given very interesting insights about things I've been thinking about lately, over all the part of the open past and quantum mechanics. By the way, this was a synchronicity in more than two ways. First of all, I did realize I found the video (or it found me, if you wish) at 11 am. Secondly, this morning I was reading randomly around the pages of a music magazine, and a word caught my attention : serendipity. A very important concept I have actually studied. Now, concerning the dark side, telepathy goes only one way : they can not read YOUR thoughts, but you can hear theirs. As a Christian I use the blood of Christ as a shield. Nothing goes out to them, nothing comes in. Excellent video, keep it up!

Can artificial synchronicities happen toward what you are trying to manifest or are they just off course synchronicities for other stuff trying to convince you to do something else?

Things can piggyback on your manifestations, but it's more a result of your good surface intentions being mixed with subconscious low-vibed intentions typically stemming from ignorance, egotism, base impulses, greed, etc. So the latter sort of contaminates the thing you're trying to manifest, and then negative forces can use that as a sock puppet or a lowered drawbridge to "get at you" more easily through that. So in those cases, when you manifest, you can either a) make sure it's coming from a good place within you and your whole soul agrees with it in a harmonious uplifting way, this way you don't contaminate what you're manifesting, or b) you can and should close any loop holes and exploits by being specific in what you want to manifest, so that there are no "gotchas" left by the time you're done specifying it.

Back in the '60s I used to just love hitchhiking. I can't count the number of times I've been across this country. I never knew what was going to happen next. Sometimes my first ride was going all the way right to my destination. Sometimes we veered off to St. Louis, say, and spent three days living and eating with a family I didn't know. Often people would take me home with them for dinner and then bring me back to my spot. I met several women I fell in love with. I could go on and on about my personal experiences but it was all a great adventure for me. I never knew what was going to happen but I always repeated this in my own mind: Someday what you're going through is going to have a profound effect on your life. Synchronicity is a fascinating subject.

I get the recurring numbers all the time. Ive had many encounters with synchronicity, some more memorable than others, but I’ll never forget the synchronicity I experienced with my father less than 2 weeks ago. I saw a bunch of UFO’s and some other crazy stuff in the sky on 12-11-18. I also showed them to my dad and brother on that night. I’d seen one about 10 years before. I’d been looking up ever since but hadn’t witnessed another, until that night. I knew how rare it was and was excited that I got to show my family. Also, when we get into this crazy stuff, it’s nice to have other people confirm that what you saw is what you saw. Well, that brings me to 10-16-19. I haven’t seen any legit sky phenomenon since the previous December, nor had my father. Then, just after dusk, my father & I were outside throwing trash in our big dumpster & TALKING ABOUT NOT SEEING ANY UFO’s in a while, when I look up and voila! It was moving directly over our heads. Looked like a Star. Same type of UFO’s we witnessed the previous December. We watched it nearly disappear into the starscape to the south, but then it turned right around and came back, finally vanishing from sight somewhere to the east. Meditating on this and trying to figure out exactly how the universe set up this opportunity synchronicity(I believe this is the proper classification) has been fun, lol. Also, I think you kind of mentioned it, but one thing that I KNOW increases one’s chances of experiencing synchronicity is to be spontaneous or unpredictable when an opportunity presents itself. It can be something dumb like taking a different route home from work, skipping a meal, eating 2 meals, anything that breaks your normal routine(if you have one). Less routine, more spontaneity.

My synchronicity is always thru television or songs I could think something’s and they’ll immediately come on tv. I could be thinking death and here comes a show where the the actor is telling another actor there going to die. My synchronicity is as deep as saying my name on television too it never stops I think it’s more than just a coincidence

@TomMontalk Would appreciate your thoughts on this please - When one's thoughts are reflected in reality e.g. thinking or perhaps daydreaming about a word/phrase/sentence/number/scenario, it is then repeated at the EXACT MOMENT or mere seconds later on the radio/video/KZbin/tv/webpage etc - what does it mean ? Most, if not all, of these syncs don't seem to carry a specific message, so what could be the intention behind these synchs ?

In really uncanny detailed cases, sometimes it's precognition, other times it's instant reality creation. I know of a couple people who wanted a job and had a lucid dream in which they created their ideal scenario, and then were woken up by the phone ringing and it went exactly as they had just dreamt it. That's why I say reality must be on the same spectrum as our nightly dreams, just that the first is like an online multiplayer game and the latter an offline game. But if it's just something small like you think or read the word "indistinct" and just then someone walks past you and says "...indistinct..." in their sentence or maybe it happens in a commercial or whatever, that's probably more a precursor synch in that it's pure improbability. The word itself doesn't necessarily have higher meaning, just the improbability of things aligning like that might. Depends though, if this happens several times and there's a theme to the words, then consider it a possible message synch.

“...let go and let reality surprise you...” sounds simple, but is a radically different notion when you think about the mundane, or grim nature that reality is usually viewed to be; aka a bummer.

Yes, what many don't realize about "letting go" is that you need to be in a positive flow already to make best use of that principle. Because whatever momentum you've built up, whatever direction you're going in terms of what you're attracting according to your mindset or "vibration" is what will accelerate when you "let go." So if someone carries a defeatist fear-based mindset and in a moment of overconfidence thinks they're going to "let go and let God", more often than not some aspect of their fear is going to then manifest and backfire on them. Which might make them even more bitter and fearful, and that's an example of a self-reinforcing feedback loop between mind and reality. So out of freewill you have to choose to reorient yourself inwardly to the positive self what you want to be, rather than using existing or past grim circumstances to justify being mentally slave to that going forward. Then if you're in a good flow for a while (at least 3 days, but preferably a couple weeks) at that point you can "let go and let reality surprise you" and since you're now magnetized toward positive experience, you'll get surprising positive experiences. I'll make another video on that in the future.

What do you think it means that I've constant been having synchs like, for example, I'll hear a word for the first time. And then I'll hear it in radio/television. This has been the only synch that I've noticed but I'm noticing it a lot. I've also started reading "phantom self" by David Icke. They have started since I began reading this book. Is it the same type of synch that I am experiencing? Or are they different types of synchs I experience with different words/phrases that I experience for the first time and then experience again and again within media within a few weeks after first hearing them.

Sometimes these words and phrases are always there and we just didn't pay attention to them until learning about it then we notice what would have been there anyway. But where it gets synchronistic is if the word or phrase comes at you very pointedly. For example, if it's an unusual (and therefore improbable word) like "alimentary" that isn't even said often, and you get an email that has it in the subject line followed a couple minutes later by someone saying it on the radio. That would be a true and undeniable synchronicity. What you describe may or may not be a synchronicity, really depends on how probable or improbable the word or phrase is.
