At 4:30 you explained about why the synchroscope pointer shouldn't be very slow. You explained that if synchroscope pointer is rotating very slow and air compressor got cut off then the synchroscope pointer will start to rotate anticlockwise and it will cause reverse power Trip. Can you please explain why the synchroscope will start rotating anticlockwise as soon as the compressor got cut off.

The condition for pointer to rotate clockwise is that the incoming generator frequency has to be slightly more than the bus bar, and when compressor cuts off it reduces load which causes the bus bar frequency to rise hence hence pointer might reverse.

Sir greeting. In my ship the SMDB is identical with yours and most of the time we synchronized the generators automatic. Here is my issue 1. In the begning the incoming generator after synchronization the frequency start dropping to 7 and the first is generator frequency remain 8.8 (9) the same. Why is that. 2, after couple of weeks The automatic synchronization start to rais alarm synchronization failure i don't get it since the synchronization is automatic and check all the V, F and cos Angel Why is this happening. Please i need explanation on this one.

+Faisal Laelae: theoretically 1- voltage,2- frequency n 3-phase sequence which is done by synchroscope but I have also mentioned power factor to check. Hope you have understood

Sir 3rd one is Voltage Phase angle between incoming generator and busbar : The waveforms should be matched such that they rise and fall together. There should be no angle difference and the potential difference between the phases should be zero.

Actually we take cadets on ship which come to port and we have very less time (I speak fast coz of that) n yes its very noisy and the Indian accent and we just don't have to check d recording there on the ship n all ships will not allow to record so it depends on many things
