Hello... Thank you SO much.... I am a jack of all trades... and you know what that means. I had a blowout on a tire and of course, the shredding tire caught my Schwintek slide out wire which some wonderful engineer thought should run above the tire into the underbelly !!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Cut a 5" slice and 2 @ 12 inch slices on the underbelly where I thought the wire should be to create a flap so I could see and feel for the broken wire. . WHEW... YES... found it... bought some wire and the goodies to splice it all together and went inside for the test run. As I expected, the motors were out of Synch. Thanks to your video I had it all synched up in 5 minutes. THANK YOU !!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This video saved me! We purchased a lightly used Imagine from a local dealership, our first, and before we really had a chance to decorate or even get bed sheets on, our slide got all out of sync. I had visions of having to get a repair person out to fix it, but I stumbled across this video, walked through the steps that you laid out and I'm FINE! Thanks again for the peace of mind!

Thanks for this, I really appreciate all. the schwintek videos you have done. We have one, and I'm very nervous - but I know where to come when/if I have a problem! I just had a scare but it turned out to be crappy crimps on the power feeds into the controller. That was a super easy fix thankfully..

Great Video and Info. We have a very Large slide that was stopping at about 3" going out. Did your synch method and walah, Fixed!! It took about 8 in and outs to synch. Also bought the CRC Power Lube and lubed the tracks. Figured it couldn't hurt. Thank You for sharing your Expert advice!!

Hi, the slide motor on one side of an approximately 20',+ slide (guessing it's almost the whole length of a 2014 30' E-450 Forester) is not plumb with the axle or spindle. That same front side has a larger gap than the rear side. I can fit my hand through the gap where the rail goes out, but the back side is tighter. Plus the front side extends out almost 3/4" further. This is a used RV I am just helping an elderly couple for free. I'm not sure if I need to do more than sync. Plus, part of the guide plastic is broken, and I can see where screws hit the metal housing going out. And when he got it, the screws were yanked out, and the front top rail was loose. My guess is the scam artist that sold this to him never knew how to sync. However, your tutoring is helpful! Thank you!!!

If I let the motors bring my slide-out all the way in, they exert too much pressure and tear off the decorative trim around the slide-out. How can you synchronize (coming in) without over-stressing the border/trim?

Well done. I had a T-shirt get caught in the gearing and it was off by a couple of inches. All good now

Interesting! I did not know that the slides could be synced in that manner. Thank you! However, I do have a question regarding my bedroom slide (electric). Once I get it fully extended or retracted, I hear a little gear grinding. Slippage, if you will. Almost like a stripped gear if I keep my finger on the button. It completely extends and contracts and seals both ways. What is my course of action with this issue? Thank you in advance for your input! 😎

Thanks for this tutorial. Our Tiffin RED 33AA lost it's sync when I turned off the ignition key too soon while my wife was retracting it for travel. There was an error message in the Spyder. Then it started acting wonky. I tried your technique, holding it, letting it amp out, moving back and forth 1", but no joy. It continues to go cockeyed.

What do I do if the bottom does not close as much as the top does. I have more gap at the bottom than the top. Also would that make it leak water while driving? It does not leak while sitting steal rolled in or out just while driving roles in.

When the motors are out of sync will it not completely seal on one side when retracted? Because mine is about 1 inch less closed on one side then the other when fully retracted.

Gear or rail is bound up. Clean the tracks, check for debris, and then lubricate.

When closed the bottom on both sides is out about 2 inches
@MyRVWorks8 ай бұрын
That might be an indication that the bottom spur gears have jumped. Not really an easy fix. We've got several videos on this system being repaired, if you watch a few of those you'll see what all is involved to realign the tracks, you'll need to pull the H-column off of each side, one side at a time only.

Yep they are I bought my motorhome in 2021 with two slides with that system. I keep them synced going out and in and keep the tracks clean and use a dry silicone lube on the top of the motor wheel and track it runs in. Sure enough s bullshit set up but better than the cable setup.
