I just bought a 98 Sportsmaster, the freezer works perfect but the fridge portion doesn't cool. Any tips? I'm new to the RV life and learning as I go.

If a slide is dirty (dust, wind-blown sand), what about using a carb cleaner product to blast it clean -- let it dry -- and then lube with the recommended PTFE? I think that carb parts are often aluminum? Shouldn't hurt anything? Makes good sense to me to make sure the tracks are clean each time *before* bringing the slides in.

My box/floor fan ramps up randomly and so does the Portable AC - I got a new shore power cord, new surge protector but it still does it. Could my convertor be going bad? Surge protector and meter show the shore pole is correct but the meter shows drops and spikes at the breaker box. please let me know your thoughts, love your videos.

I'll tell you it took me several hours to keep searching. This is a great video. Yeah it started squealing really loud. + This is what I have to take care of. The challenge is this elderly woman who I run it to. There's trees and bushes in that area so. I can do it but I have to clear an area. I digress. You just got to take your time and I wish they made it easy. I was thinking maybe I just shoot some lithium grease in that bearing. There's no way to get to it without pulling it apart and if I pull it apart I might as well change it. That's what I was thinking but it's just a nightmare. Just a lubricate it and it's forget it. Anyway, thank you very much. This is a great video and I was a little like I don't feel like doing that. Then I look at labor prices and I could do it but I don't want to but it would motivated me is this is real time. Anyway thanks so much and I got to stop being being lazy the thing is I've been doing this all my life. It's almost like I don't have to but labor prices are crazy. So now I got to get back to work and do this but anyway so I may not be able to do it. And as long as your video and it's hooked up to power so I don't think I'm going to have to worry about. Well I'll see. Sorry for the long voice text and half the time is preparing the area so I can get to it Bush's etc. And maybe nice little chair and a shade. It's hot in Florida. Anyway thank you so much. Not sure if I can do it in the time frame that you did it cuz you do it all the time. But thanks very very very detailed

WD-40 does a great job cleaning that stuff off your hands and other things. Including that tube on the can if you have any left over.

I miss the simplicity of the old hydro flame heater very reliable less complicated. I would trade it for one of these forced air pieces of expletive in a second!!!

Lets say the controller is two channels, Motor 1 and motor 2. Swap the harness between 1 and 2 at the controller, if the problem is initially with motor 1 and remains the problem, that confirms its the motor. If you swap the plugs and the problem changes to the other motor, that confirms its the controller. Would that not give a solid result faster?

I took everything apart on my 2010 Palomino Bronco 800 - same lift system - and even replaced the broken gears and pins. yay! But now I'm having problems getting the cables/coils back into the tubes....for instance, at the far (door end) of the camper there's almost a 90* angle in the tubing, and even after greasing the coils, I'm not able to get them to fully insert...any suggestions?

Did you not talk about the 3 exposed bolt threads on the bottom of the motor which drop down into their holes to keep the motor itself from turning?

Ahhhh crap. New to me 5th wheel. Came here specifically to see why my slide appears to not close on the bottom when it touches on the top. Can I check the "S" on the gears without a full tear down? If I have to re-align, is it easier to pull the top or the bottom wheel? I'm also trying to figure out how to square up the slide so that reassembly alignment stays square and i don't skip a tooth on the S-rail. Grrrrrr. what a mess.

We had a lighting storm and the converter breaker flipped but there was a burning smell and now the converter isn't supplying to my fuse board as you say. Everything will work off of battery DC but the only 120 I'm getting is to the sockets and microwave. If I only need to replace the converter what's a good alternative to the wfco 9560 lis wago ge

Hi Darren, I did a motor repair on my Schwintek slide a year or so ago and I used your guidance on how to troubleshoot the motor, thank you for that!! One thing I could not find on KZbin (and maybe I didn't look hard enough) was how to move the slide out with a broken motor so I could get at the motor pin. I ended up using a built-up fixture with a car jack to do it. I videoed the process (along with motor replacement) and just got around to editing it and posting it on KZbin ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHW4amuQaqljgJo ). I hope you don't mind but I gave you a shoutout (in the intro around 1:43). I assume you have had to do something similar to move the slide and gain access to the pin?? Would be curious to know if there was a better way. I also did an analysis of how much force it takes to push that thing which is included in the video and thought you might find that interesting.

I'm confused please help. I'm connected to shore power and there's only 120 v going to microwave and GFI socket. Now if I turn on the battery DC switch everything works until the DC power runs down. But you have to turn off battery DC to get the GFI working again. There's no green light on the receptacle fuse panel but it appears the converter is recharging my battery? It's recharging the battery on shore power yet it's only putting 120 out to GFI none of the other 120 v are being converted to 12 from AC shore power ? Oh, like you said the battery charger is built into the converter on my rig 2021 palamino puma so the chargers working but the converter is not converting 120v to any of my 12 v appliances . I have that nasty integrated one . Ok I'll throw the converter at it . Ok I think I got it, help if you can we are kind of stranded please .

Darin, our 2003 Newmar Dutch Star has s 5 light system. E, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, Full. On the tanks they only have two white wires. Each in a foil tape about 2"x 6" and they are at about the same height on the tanks. They come out of a little board (1"x1")on each tank that has 3 wires , black, blue and red. That little board appears to be attached to the tanks by foam tape. How does this work. I'm wanting to update this system to one that shows % (0-100%). Thanks for posting I've got that little red ac/dc amp clamp. It was cheap, did DC and works well. Glad to see you also liked it.

America has imposed corrupt politicians and military generals on our country, due to their corruption, there is high inflation and electricity crisis. Pakistani people are now looking for alternative sources of energy. I have 6KW of electricity in my house. Solar system installed I am facing problems with refrigerator due to low battery bank at night. I have been thinking of buying an absorption refrigerator so I am getting information from watching your video, I would prefer a gas flame absorption refrigerator.

I can understand that on furnaces Although the cracks can be mig welded and we have c02 and carbon monoxide detectors now I diddnt know about the mercury in the stove manifolds but we got mercury in the thermostats on the walls but im immortal as i drank from garden hoses and ate worms as a kid lol I grew up in the 60s so im used to fixing stuff and our old car owners manuals told us how to grease things and adjust the valves ect Now the owners manuals tell you not to drink the battery acid ? So what they got now a 5 year degree to tap an A/C and add R 12 or whatever freon to it so it will last another 30 years ?
