Another marvelous venture into the unknown. Nice to see footprints every now and then.

not a ton of hard stuff unless you get down off the plateau to the white rim and climb back up

Hi Kevin! This is an amazing hike! I did it last September (also clockwise) and I had a blast! Boulder field is probably my favorite part. 😎🤘 And you are absolutely right, stats might be deceiving, this trail is serious stuff, folks venturing into this trail need to be prepared. Those last 2 miles were endless for me 😂😂😂, I was like “these have got to be the longest 2 miles in recent memory 🥵” 😂 All in all, I loved this trail, would totally do it again 😎👍 Thanks for sharing your adventure and experience on this trail 👍

@ indeed, weather was great 😎👍 I went to hike Dome Mountain , very slippery on the way down with all that lose rock, but nice views and only saw 3 other hikers all of them in the same group

@@bobbafett7407 i don't think I'm familiar with Dome Mtn - is that the one off the highway as you head west closer to CA?

@@HikingEngineer it’s located in Apache Junction, you park at the Bulldog Canyon - Wolverine Gate trailhead. First mile or so is on the ohv road then it forks right up the mountains. Trail up to Dome Mountain proper is easy to follow. For Dome Mountain East you go right at the saddle, there is a faint trail, a little steep at times. There is also Dome Mountain South, if there is a trail there I completely missed it
