Subbed and liked. Hey My Music. Most of my songs I have professionally recorded are in the country music vein. Is there any market for that in TV and film, or just way less than rock, hip hop etc? Thanks in advance for your reply!

New Era I ended up releasing an album featuring my original music. I don’t think sync is right for me. I like the freedom of creating what I want and when I want. My creativity is sparked by the ability to just sit down and write and not have someone else’s schedule or restrictions hanging over my head.

I wish you would make a video on the difference between film composing and music placement for a film for instance and working with a film composer as far as placing/licensing your music, in other words source cues etc...

With dynamics automation you can kinda get off that repetetiveness . Like with string music, even if it's repetetive you can hear the movement. Any thoughts?

Great video, thank you! When you're talking about slow and dreamy tracks you mean like «ballad»-styled tracks or absolutely anything slow? I'm asking because I love to make atmospheric dark slow music, like «Nightmare On The Elm Street» movies OST.
@SyncMyMusic
@SyncMyMusic 6 жыл бұрын
Pretty much anything slow - there's just not that much of a need for it. And if you want to do this full-time, you'll have to make the MOST licensable tracks you can.

hey Jesse, I guess I can make some good licensable music, in fact, I really try to take your tips and tricks to heart but what's your opinion on song length. are there licensable track duration or is everything licensable as long as it's proper licensable music. most of my songs I prepare rn to send out to libraries are around 1:30 - 2:30? greetings p.

Individual hits should be ok but using a loop leaves you open to someone else using the same loop then claiming you stole it from them. Aren't copyright strikes a big enough problem here already?

A little confused on the dreamy thing. Why wouldn't slower tracks be licensable? I would have thought different moods, such as melancholy, would be a useful skill to be able to create- as so many different emotions are portrayed in different media.
@SyncMyMusic
@SyncMyMusic 5 жыл бұрын
Slower, dreamy track CAN get placed, but MOST placements on TV are mid to uptempo tracks. Just turn on your TV and notice the tempos of the tracks getting placed - most TV shows want to promote energy, positivity, tension, conflict, etc.

Hi Jesse - I’ve been a member of the Syndicate for about seven months now. What is the difference between Sync Academy and the Syndicate? Also, am I allowed to make music submissions that you are referring to here? And if so, could you please provide a link or direction for that?

yikes, my music is looping and super repetitious in a tangerine dream/ phillip glass kind of way, fades out at end with no definite ending, is very dreamy and sometimes slow, intros are long with no attention grabbing intro, I use many layers of instruments, no specific genre and is mixed and mastered at home .....wow!! I think i covered all the bases of what not to do and worse because theway I create the music there is no way for me to change it lol 8-( By the way, I can t disagree with you until I have as many placements as you.I do not.
