Hello Shaibu, Don't you think you need the battery to help the sound level, since it's a condenser mic. Condenser mics I know works well with phantom power, that could be it's power to boost the audio level. Anyway, you could try it out and see. Chinese product manuals are never comprehensive, you know.

I tried it with and without the battery. Didn't notice any difference. As for the phantom power, I don't know what it is, I'll have to look it up. My aim is to help people minimize cost. But I get what you mean.
