A great hymn. The melody was one of the first tunes I learned to play on the piano about 60 years ago in 1962 . Coincidence? I still play it on the fiddle.

They are singing it to the tune Spanish Hymn/Madrid/Seville by Benjamin Carr. It is the one usually associated with the hymn "Chief of Sinners",

Tune is "Spanish Hymn" by Benjamin Carr. It is the one you might associate with the hymn "Chief of Sinners",

The sacred harp I've heard is quite different from this, overall. The chorus in the back resembles sacred harp a bit though. Very interesting song.
