Regularly have to delete VST3i Drone in DAW and Add again to be able to select the setting Drone in DAW in Synfire. Using Synfire Demo software

Can not have reaper open and Synfire 2 in W10 . Both using the (exclusive) Asio from Steinberg. And Synfire audio engine was crashing during test. Will export midi to DAW. The drone option is too complicated for this moment.

I also do the midi export as my solution. But that you can not run 2 DAWs is a bit strange and maybe related to the audio driver. But in general Synfire sound does not require a very good audio interface and you may select a simple one for it. For my curiosity; what operating system do you use?

@@NickFromNetherlands Ive got RME audio interface and I can use it from Synfire and DAW at the same time. Ok, maybe an RME driver benefit, which they are known for.

Hear dropouts when using the jack Asio router (only 4GB RAM on windows10 PC) . So back to Wasapi driver that will mix Synfire and Daw. Has Cubase12 Rewire ? You are using studio one . Ableton 11 has dropped rewire.

@@NickFromNetherlands looks like cubase also dropped it. And studio one I think as well (did not upgrade yet). I don't know of any alternative. Bad if you upgrade and old projects do not work anymore. I gave up linking the daws and prefer classic midi export. By the way 4gb is a bit too less for win10 and for using vsts totally. Win10 for its own requires around 10gb to run OK. Any apps came on top. Vsts sounds may require often some extra GBs. Meanwhile I have 64gb, a fast less core Intel (better for music) and upgraded to RME audio interface. Now it works.
