Elektron should pay attention here. This is some of the best I've heard on this machine. Frankly didn't think it could sound like this.

Your comment means a lot, thank you! But I'm sure they have more important things to focus on, like maybe releasing a new firmware update for the Syntakt or even better, a Digitakt mk2? 🙏😇

This is masterful. Sound design, track structure, arrangement, performance, and mix; all completely controlled, balanced, and perfectly executed. I don’t think I’ve seen such total understanding and use of the Syntakt in such a melodic and total way. I’m gobsmacked! Liked, subscribed, and heading to Patreon. If ever you do some tutorials then I’m there! Top stuff.

Andy, this is one of the nicest comments I've ever read on the channel. Thank you so much, it means a lot. We've had the Syntakt now for 18 months and it's been an incredibly rewarding journey. The music made on it ends up being slightly different than when we make music in the DAW or on the MPC. It's like part of the Syntakt "mannerism" shines through in the final work. Thanks for the suggestion on doing tutorials, we've thought about some basic ones like how to get a good mix out of the Syntakt in standalone. Right now we're working to complete a review of it first though, which should hopefully be out before the summer (between real work and family duties 😊). Thanks again for your comment and hope to see around! 🙏✨

@@sinewaymusic you're welcome - thanks for the inspiring content. Completely understand about real life commitments! These videos are making me want to break out of the dreaded 4 or 8 bar loops. I've only had the ST a couple of weeks and your content is really going to drive me with it. I spent 45 minutes at the gym on a bike watching your videos this morning. Some great stuff! The track breakdowns and analysis are excellent. And I agree about the chorus! Yes please elektron 🙏.

@@andyraps That's the way to watch youtube - at the gym bike. You've inspired me too now. :) Thank you once again - and if you have any questions about the Syntakt or if I can help in any way, don't hesitate to drop me a comment here and I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities.

Impressive use of the Syntakt synth engines. It’s amazing how much you get out of this device. I have my Syntakt for a couple of months now and still discovering new things everyday.

Thank you so much! This device is incredible. I just made another song embryo that features the Analog FX block prominently and my partner in crime listened to it and was like "whoa, I forgot that the Syntakt could sound like that!" In other words, we're learning new things about it too, even after over 18 months of use. It's such a rewarding process to make music on it. I hope you're having a blast with it too. Loved your latest ambient jam with the unstable tuning. Thanks for listening, as always!

fantastic! love the jam and in particular that bass sound at around 3:45 - so fat!

Hey, I really appreciate you taking the time to write that. Yes, that B flat is *deep* isn't it - love that part of it too. Making music on the Syntakt is so much fun in general, there's always something new to discover. Thanks for listening, hope to hear more from you in the future. 🙏❤️

I'm only one minute in, and I can tell this is going to be very nice. The wording in the title is, for the first time, making me consider a Syntakt purchase, haha. Well done!

Haha, hope it's not increasing the GAS too much! And hope that the rest of the song wasn't too disappointing. :) Really appreciate your comment and for listening!

Thank you so much! Looking forward to seeing you around here in the future. We have around five other songs on the Syntakt not yet released, and then another ten or so on other grooveboxes. That excludes all the songs yet to be made on them. 😅 Thanks for following us on the journey. ✨

Thank you! There are many more songs to come. We have about 5 of them lined up for the Syntakt alone, and then maybe 10 or so more on the MPC and Push platforms. Just need to find the time to record the jams. :) Hope to see you around!

That's interesting. I started out thinking about the Syntakt as more of a melodic synth rather than a drum machine, but I've started to realize how capable it is as the latter 🤷♂
@sinewaymusic9 ай бұрын
Hey there fellow Elektronaut! 👏✨ Yes, in the end it's of course capable of both. I use it more for melodics because I don't have your amazing setup with the Digitone next to it. No I'm not at all jealous about your silver Digitakt. Not at all. 😭😂
@SpeldosaMusik9 ай бұрын
@@sinewaymusicYou're right in that it's when you pair it up to other devices that you can afford to "only" use it as a drum machine. I can't stop myself from using the dual VCO for bass though. It's great! But yeah, there's no denying that the silver Digitone is great. It feels more like an art piece than an instrument 🖼😄

That's my favorite for bass sounds too!

Very refreshing compared to the other superficial jams out dere. Doesn't it took you long tweaking to reach this nice sound?
@sinewaymusic3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! It's a pretty fluid process to tweak the sounds and arrangement of each voice/track to play nice together so technically you're right that it does take some time, but it's happening in parallel with the arrangement, sequencing and jam rehearsals so it's a bit like meditation to me.
@pn_oio289110 ай бұрын
Seriously, you need a Digitone (also, the combination is dope: polyphony and arp on one side, 12 tracks on the other)
@sinewaymusic10 ай бұрын
Definitely wouldn't say no to one! But I think a song like this couldn't be produced on the Digitone alone, and I have learned that I don't really enjoy working with more than one device at a time. I tried the combo route before (some jams on this channel) but it just feels like you have parts of a song spread out across multiple devices. I honestly make most of my music in bed with the Syntakt in my lap. 😅 But the Digitone was my gateway drug into rediscovering hardware so in that sense it has a special place in my heart. 😊
