4:35 I love percussion loops. You can actually get pretty creative with them. In FL, I'll lower the release to 0 and stretch the sample so that I can play parts of it instead of the whole loop. That way I can do things like make them stop right before the snare, or mix different loops in different parts of the loop. I also like to pitch them down, up and sometimes even glide them down and up octaves.

sure! they are definitely a great way to add texture to your music and you can manipulate them in crazy ways. I was just a little unsure about these "analog" percussion loops as I wasn't sure how usefull they were for making melodies. turned out pretty fire in the end tho 🔥
