Purchased this vst recently and couldn't find any comprehensive tutorials around at all. Thank you so much for doing this, looking forward to more videos . Cheers :)

No problem. It's odd there isn't more out there. Initially additive would seem very straight forward, but it requires a completely different way of thinking about synthesis. Maybe that's why there aren't that many videos.

loom is probably one of my least favorite additive synths, it's still cool, and fun for certain sounds, but I find razor, harmor, and parsec to be far more advanced and fun to use additive synthesis is one of the coolest synth types, but requires a multitude of algorithmic partial controls, to avoid what you describe, where you have to adjust each harmonic individually. I really hope more developers write good additive synths, the market is sparse with them. I've done one stream on loom, might do another one day

Thanks for the tips. I'll check those out when I get the chance. At the moment I feel I could do with some kind of order to the algorithms, like more logical groupings. The way it's done in Loom is a bit haphazard, from what I can see. It'll be interesting to see what other producers are doing. I'll try and find your stream too.

@@RunningonairMusic no problem, yes, loom's system is a bit rough, and many of the algorithms are either very single purpose, or redundant. there's definitely a tightrope "path" you have to walk when setting each slot and choosing which ones to use I don't regret purchasing loom either, it's system has some sweet spots that let you do some pretty cool things it might be a bit buried at this point, looks like it's 2 months old
