A good friend of mine bought a diamond ring from a very well known American Diamond ring company. The main stone was GIA certified. and the small diamonds around it were not and he discovered to be CVD. lab grown diamonds He was shocked to say the least and is about to tell them that he had them checked and that they should have disclosed to him that they were not natural.. The bottom line is these large diamond ring companies farm out their designs to contractors who supply the best price. They dont check them and dont expect you to either . Very few stores have the needed technology to detect lab grown diamonds once they are set into a ring.. and the industry makes far more money by turning a blind eye. In my view with the small dimoands it is obvious there is a massive amount coming onto the market and the industry is purposely doing very little to detect and declare them as lab grown.
