I think its pretty cool for the tournament organize to realize the error in their way and allow you guys to do something cool for the content creators who would have been otherwise disappointed with the experience.

@@YungPeteeits not just about the money or the fact its a tournament. You are very short sighted in that regard. This tournament was idealistically speaking a reason for content creators to play with one another even if they havent played in a while. Pinning them against professional players was bullshit. This is something that Rubius understood when he started his second tournament putting little challenges for the most competent which even then showed that the skill gap is just too big to overlook.

@@Mound_Maker right I get that they failed to achieve what they were going for, but making it so some of the lobby can team in a 100000$ tournament for one game is not the right way to go about fixing it. The mistake was already made when they invited pros to play, it’s unfair to the pros to give half the lobby a huge advantage at the end. Even if it didn’t effect the very top of the leaderboard, it still ruins the competitive integrity of a tournament with a lot of money on the line

the organizers had the biggest chance for a great idea and they accepted it, tbh the meme at the end probably barely effected the actual leaderboard and they probably might not have taken the last game into account this was genius and I enjoyed this alot it was so funny and wholesome seeing all the popular non pro faces team together to have a great time

The way I see it is that pros ruined the experience for the content creators by creating a duo with another pros, so the content creators ruined the experience for pros by teaming with every content creator involved. In my opinion its fair since it was advertised as a bit of fun tournament which it clearly wasn't for the ones getting trashed on by the pros of spawn.

I think the real problem is that people still don't see "gamer" as a job. The sweats came to a game that was supposed to be played for vibes and instead played for money. The last game was going to be inconsequential for tournament rankings, so they let the content creators....create content. Which was supposed to be the whole point of this. Bringing the OG map back was supposed to revitalize the game, and it has. But isolating a bunch of the most prominent content creators out there by promising A) and delivering B) was gonna be a bad look for Epic. So chill and enjoy the memes

Look here's the whole thing summed up: Organizers of tourney misled the content creators and pros so games were unfair, content creators were upset so they disrupted that one game, causing the pros to have 6 games instead of 7, causing justified frustration for the teams (pros) near the top of the leaderboard due to having that game's points voided.
