I'm calling it now. The Medallion system is gonna get re-worked or removed. Passive shields like that will be *great* in Zero Build, but watching it with builds is concerning. Then add on that they stack up the more you have, its gonna make some folks just ludicrously hard to take down.

As a no build player I really like all the changes, the movement doesn’t really affect me. Some complaints I would have is the amount of npcs and the healing. Also like 80 percent of the player base players build mode so they should revert the movement.

The thing I don't like is that the weapons spawn with attachments already. It should be normal loot pool with guns that are the same and attachments should be added by choice on benches and you should choose what do you want. Now all guns are really messy and sometimes it's confusing what you are even picking from the ground

Not a fan of the projectile weapons, they just don't feel good to use in a game like fortnite, feels like you're at an active disadvantage if you take one over a hitscan gun. The new mantling and hurdling is a bit sluggish but with some adjustments I can see them being awesome additions to the movement in this game and provide a lot more options in build mode when you encounter people who instantly build giant towers and what not.

I think the problem is how slow the velocity is, I can understand needing to lead your shots at super long distances but at ranges below 100 it's excessive.

Map looks incredible, but my biggest issue is how quickly the storm moves. It’s a lottery on where you land, and if you’re far from the storm circle, you’ve got hardly any time to loot as you’ve to move straight away to make it. It puts you on the back foot from the start

I recommend to catch the train if you can. Hack the chest while moving into zone and you get a med kit to get your health back!

I think there should be more workbenches, I think it’s a little too hard to get the poi’s with them (I’m bad) also movement is slightly harder to learn, although I still like it. Also they need to add back first shot accuracy because I’ve had multiple games where me and another person traid deaths

Tip for anyone who isn't familiar with weapon mods, if you get a striker ar, weapon mod it to the sniper scope (4x view) and if its a high enough rarity then also get the laser or vertical foregrip. It basically turns it into a long range sniper and you can shoot fast with high accuracy. Good in build and broken in zero build.

Any zoom optic on an AR is an automatic drop for me. They don't work properly at long distance like you said unless you're literally one tapping and hitting them for 25 a shot....

I think the medallions are going to be a huge problem , especially in build mode , you could damage someone so much and they can just box up and hold their wall until they are full shield again

I mean yes but also it encourages you to be more aggressive and also go for medallions yourself. They probably do need some balancing, like maybe sure the too half of your shield can regenerate pretty quick but if you get cracked it should take like 10 seconds to kick in

So that big orange zones on the map are people with medallions, the more you have the smaller your circle gets, kind of like some tech from warzone, but this allows you to become basically a juggernaut.

Just watched this on live. I just wanna say something... im 35 years old and its easy to take life and your time here for granted. Make sure to appreciate these little moments because you will look back and realize little goofy moments like Fortnite chapter releases and random days playing with friends are some of your best memories. You forgot to mention a big part of the medallions, which is that it shows your location on the map for all the players. The more medallions you have, the more precise the location is. The first guy that you said you had a bounty on, just had a medallion. This balances it out a bit.

I think the movement, map, graphics ect are all amazing. The only thing I don't like so far is how every weapon is practically spam meta with insane damage per shot. And the locker. Having separate loadouts for both emotes, banner, and wraps just feels wrong and confusing. And personally I do feel like attachments should be done a lil differently like imo: keep the attachments pre installed on epic and legendary weapons just a lil less though. and have it to where attachments commonly pop out of chests or certain boxes, then you can add them on to make the weapon more powerful like in primal but not completely changing the gun, that way you don't have a big chance of a Shotgun with a scope lol and can add what you want.

Medallions are way more balanced in zero build than build but they kind of throw of the gameplay compared to last season (in good and bad ways). I was in an endgame fight today and my opponent and I were far from each other and just trading shots for a long time. We both had a medallions and it took forever eventually storm chased the other guy out and I won the game, but my point is that the usually fast paced endgames of zero build are considerably slower down unless it’s a close range 1 on 1

The building was mid at best, it was dull and it wasn’t getting any better and every sweat was using the same tactics, the only way to change that without getting rid of builds entirely was to update movement, change running to jogging and tac sprint to just running, it slows everything down forcing build sweats to learn new methods or just minimize the build amount all together and use it the way it was designed to be used. The update was aimed mainly at the audience that left because of the toxicity and people who just don’t want to have a puddle of sweat under them after one fight just because some kid wants to build a whole ass bed n breakfast around you in .2 seconds of confrontation

I think theres a little too many AI's at every POI, and the medallions regen you too fast, i think there should be a bit of a cooldown on the medallion before it heals you, like 5-7 seconds without being hit. But other than that, its a pretty cool season

An awesome idea for fortnite would be to make a mode where you can relive the past events (ie. celeb collabs, story events etc) and keep adding new ones as they come for new season/chapters and events , would be awesome because a majority of my bro's couldn't even witness the event yesterday and the ones who couldn't see it were pissed off😂, i gave them my footage to check it out tho, it was a chilled event, not amazing or anything like that, but it was supper chilled and better than fractured atleast😅, and all these new items we got with it seem awesome no doubt about those updates and the wall maneuvering, seems awesome too

Im excited for the wall running and im poving the new weapons the bosses and storm are a major issue tho theres toi many bots during the battles make them last longer and the instant resheild is adding more time on top of rhat the storm closes on you in like a minute during the fight so there is no time to think

I know it has been just a day since the update rolled out, but it has made the game slightly complicated. Absolutely love the new map, and updated movement tweaks, also appreciate the new weapons which have been added, but the gun mods and medallions are a bit too much. Had it been just the gun mods, it would’ve been fine. But if someone has multiple medallions, eliminating them would be one hell of a task. Seems a bit unfair for others. Just my 2 cents.

Logged in for a couple games, I’ve non stop played since season 3 of chapter 1. This game is vastly different now. I’m okay with the movement and even maybe the attachments but my concern was the medals and attachments already attached. I’ll get used to the attachments on spawn but the medals have to get nerfed or removed. On builds people will just camp to heal off. This is a huge issue especially if they corner u inside a storm with them healing up Everytime. Imagine an infinite slurp juice in effect but stronger.

Yea in builds these have to go, the way people can camp in forts with the medals and have infinite shield is too op it’s like having infinite slurps but for shield only, but I like the concept of getting an op reward for killing a ai, just not so op in builds

Simple is what made fortnite fun. I didn't realize it until the OG season came back trolling and having fun with the simpler items as well the map seemed to be more spread out than these new ones. The movement now is terrible as well. Just not feeling too much yet.

Not really, chapter OG was the most fun I've had in the game for ages, still enjoyed the other stuff but my friends and I just enjoyed goofing off in a simple game where we made our own fun with shopping karts and impulses. From what I played the new chapter has a fraction of the personality the original has
