We all sat down at the dinner table for Easter when it was 54-39 - we could hear the crowd noise on the TV in the living room and Kevin Harlan talking so I went to go check the score and Cuse was up 64-58 - no one believed me when I got back to the table so everyone had to go see for themselves. 1. this is the most painful loss in the Tony Bennet era, and most painful UVa loss since at least 1990. 2. we lost this game because we beat Iowa State's press so badly the game before that we fell in love with trying to be run and gun. Much like the UMBC loss (which was mostly about losing Hunter, but a little bit about panicking because things weren't going how we thought they would), we went away from our identity and trying to attack the press. It worked against Iowa State because they didn't have the long athletes that Syracuse had, but against Cuse, we played right into their trap. 3. this is the most painful loss in the Tony Bennet era, I still can't watch the last 4 minutes of that game.
