True...Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, Egypt...Mubarak was overthrown and yet Egypt has another strongman Dictator in Al-Sisi. In Iraq, an insurgency continues in the north. Still curious what happened to the $12 billion in US currency, transported to Iraq in 2003, 2004. $9 billion went "missing". The EU offered to help rebuild Syria. Hope they hold off until they know who these characters are. I smell corruption.

How it is and how it will be: Once upon a time, a scorpion wanted to cross a river but couldn't swim. Seeing a frog nearby, the scorpion asked, "Could you carry me across the river on your back?" The frog hesitated and replied, "But if I let you on my back, you'll sting me, and I'll drown." The scorpion assured the frog, "If I were to sting you, we would both drown. It wouldn't be logical for me to do that." Considering this, the frog agreed and allowed the scorpion to climb onto its back. Midway across the river, the scorpion stung the frog. As the venom took effect and they both began to sink, the frog gasped, "Why did you sting me? Now we'll both perish." The scorpion sorrowfully replied, "I couldn't help it. It's in my nature."

@@telebubba5527 As Azerbaijan has launched attacks and reportedly seized more territory inside Armenia’s borders,Armenia has appealed to its treaty allies to come to its defense. But the tepid response has further eroded Armenians’ faith in their allies - most notably Russia. the day the fighting started, Armenia’s government initiated a video summit of the heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the mutual defense pact led by Russia and also including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The next day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan formally invoked the CSTO’s collective defense provision, seeking “military aid for restoring the territorial integrity of the country.” The appeal was in response to Azerbaijan’s unprecedented attacks against targets inside Armenia, launched the day before. Article 4 of the CSTO charter states that: “In the case of aggression (an armed attack threatening safety, stability, territorial integrity and sovereignty) against any Member States, all other Member States at request of this Member State shall immediately provide the latter with the necessary aid, including military.” The CSTO’s answer has been less than immediate. The organization resolved to send a fact-finding mission,. Before the mission even arrived, the organization said it did not anticipate sending peacekeepers. CSTO is a joke

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed full support for Azerbaijan’s military operation in its ethnically Armenian breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkey is an old ally of Azerbaijan and views Armenia as one of its main regional rivals. “We support the steps taken by Azerbaijan - with whom we act together with the motto of one nation, two states - to defend its territorial integrity,” Erdogan said in an online statement on Tuesday. Ankara supplied Azerbaijan with combat drones and other military equipment that helped Baku win back swaths of the breakaway region in a short but brutal war three years ago. “As a result of the legitimate and justified concerns it has repeatedly expressed regarding the situation on the ground in the nearly three years since the end of the Second Karabakh War, Azerbaijan has had to take the measures it deems necessary on its own sovereign territory,” the Turkish ministry said.

@Lyle-In-NO There's nothing in Syria that the West needs. The US is currently the world's largest producer of oil. We're there fighting IS. It might be surprising, but our only interest in Syria is a hope that they will join the West in respect for individual rights and free trade. As for Israel, the Druze are literally asking to be annexed by Israel because they are scared of the Islamists and know Israel is much better.
@HuggieGirl2Ай бұрын
This is about about greed and power. All countries that attempt to get involved are doing so for their own interests. They may claim to want to "help" the people of Syria, but that is not the real reason for their involvement. Furthermore, I am a Christian and study my Bible every day and this leader of HTS may be a certain person prophesied in the Holy Bible. Time will tell. But I also think that even though Assad is out, the people of Syria may be in a even worse situation. Speak like a lamb, act like lion.
