I went through this situation. I was four years old with my older sister, my father and my mother. The American B52 planes were bombing very close areas. The house was moving and the glass was shattering from the intensity of the shelling. The only person smiling was my father. He gave me some safety and comfort. I still remember all This and I think that this child will not forget this position forever

Smart dad. Trying to protect it's kid psychological health. It works only to a limit. You can't do the same right now in Gaza. Too much bombing and destruction, too many people, children who are screaming, suffering and crying, the daily visually horror of hundreds of agonizing wounded people. It's impossible to cover up the multitude of these things.

The point the father is trying to make - For his daughter to not live in fear. She is too young to learn about death. To her, the bomb is just an explosion similar to a firework. The father is teacher her laugh at it so she doesn’t live in fear. She isn’t a psychopath and the father is incredible.
